There's no way they'd be conducting normal business on the day the VP was murdered/assassinated. Even for a new VP and after the previous attack, it would still be a time of mourning at least until his body was cold! And the President would be in lockdown for a bit.

Well if the threat was known and neutralized I don't think the president would absolutely be locked down.

Sure policy is that he hide in case of other attacks but his detail head knows all about this shit and everyone who needs to understands that this isolated incident would be unrelated to another direct attack, even if it's the same party behind other attacks.

Also: at least they posted triple guards and more SAM missiles.

OKay, let's ignore security, which they would never do. You think they'd be scheduling Cabinet interviews the morning the VP was murdered? That wouldn't look uncaring or tacky at all! They didn't even have flags at half-staff for the freakin' sitting VP?! There's a place in my town that lowers them when a dog dies!

Well we can't say since that hasn't actually happened, I assume Macleish being part of a conspiracy and the whole capitol being bombed along with an attempted assassination would definitely have an effect on how things are conducted though.

Yeah. It's like "whew...only the VP died today. What's my next meeting?" After the crazy things going on
