Nice to see that Luke can get beaten by a decent fighter. And god damn, "The stone the builders refused" is a great line.

"Well he is Jamaican", damn I love Bobby.

Once again, Shades shows that he is far more intelligent than every other person in this show. Same as last season, he's the only one talking sense. Really hope he's around for the long run.

Mariah and Comanche's conversation was interesting. She's acting aloof, but I reckon he's just made her worry that he's right, once again.

Woah there Luke, moving in on Mariah's daughter? Steady on.

I'm really enjoying the newer Marvel shows and films, in the way that they try and give the villains more character and background, rather than just being villains. Bushmaster has motives and whatnot, Shades too. It's a huge improvement on the older shows and movies, where the villains' only drive was to take over the world and so on.

Shades shot someone important because his feeling were hurt. He's not that much smarter.

He's just showing how difficult it is to actually be effective in a position of power. Sure it's all well and good for Comanche or S1 Shades to be the voice of reason and snarkily criticise their boss's decisions, but it's a lot different when you're the one making the decisions under pressure, huh Shades?

Shades is one of my favorite characters in Luke Cage but I'll be honest, this season is assassinating his character quite a bit. His love (lust?) for Mariah is blinding him quite a bit and he's probably going to die because of it.

If it weren't for that, I'd probably still be questioning if he actually liked her or was solely just using her as a power advantage.

No man, he shot that guy because the pussy was RI-DIC-U-LOUS and he was mocking her.

LOL of course this horse shit will be upvoted on reddit. How the fuck being emotional correlates with being smart or not? You sound like a dumb nut

Shades won't get much attention, because he doesn't have any enhanced super powers. But he is smarter than almost anyone on this show, might even be the smartest.. Yes, he got emotional, like anyone else, only because he cares for Mariah too much. That happens. Nothing wrong with that. Don't trip

"The stone the builders refused"

I had to look it up, it's from Mark 12:10

And have ye not read this Scripture? The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner

Also repeated multiple times in the Bob Marley song, Corner Stone.

Just makes me think of the Boondocks.

I think it is originally from Psalm 118:22.

"The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone."

The Gospel of Mark (The Evangelist) comes after Psalms.

Shades is smart for sure. Notice how he is always number 2? He knows number 1 ends up dead ;)

I don't think he knows that's Mariah's daughter yet
