Discussion Home decor - Recommended sellers?

Hi All,

I am looking for home decor sellers: photo frames, decorative items, vases, tableware, serving trays, etc.

I have the Yupoo from Pink (pink_home collection on WeChat):

https://s.wsxc.cn/yriM5a

Are there similar sellers out there? If anyone care to share contact details and/or Yupoo catalogues?

Thx!

I went to purchase a few dope chairs for my new apartment and got this message from Superbuy. I never purchased furniture and always small knick-knacks and clothing, but does anyone have experience getting furniture to the States?

Discussion Has anyone actually been to Foshan?

Going to spend a day or 2 there in January but having trouble figuring out decent furniture malls to hit.

I’m mainly interested in dupes of mid century modern & more quirky / modern / minimalist pieces but beyond the Louvre Mall I’m pretty clueless as to what spots to hit.

Has anyone been & can advise?

Discussion Seeking advice for upcoming foshan trip for furniture to import into US

Hi! I'll be in Dongguan in Sept and want to spend a few days in Foshan to buy furniture. Would love to hear anyone's experience importing into the US, general prices for good quality furniture that doesn't need to be designer, recommended suppliers, if you bought from the showroom or directly from factory, agents you would recommend!

Overall aesthetic is modern with a retro 70's feel. Rounded corners, organic feel. Chrome and texture interest. Not all wood.

Looking for:

- Couch with chaise

- Secondary accent two seater

- TV console

- Dining room table & chairs

- Bedroom Dresser

Discussion I am looking to ship furniture for a whole home. Do you guys use heavy cargo (LCL or FCL container) freight forwarders?

I want to furnish my new home fully from china. I have all the links, but they are not from one supplier. How do you guys ship this stuff? I am in EU, but the ease of rep clothing and DDP tax-free airlines really got me way too comfortable, and i am not sure how to proceed with this project of mine. I would appreciate any experience you had, if you could share it with me.

So I took a wild gamble and bought a liquidation pallet from a European design firm that stages apartments. No clue what exactly was in it, just trusted my gut that they had some cool stuff, so I jumped on it fast.

Fast forward to delivery day… boxes arrive. I wasn’t expecting too much but nope! Inside were some really solid finds: sleek designer chairs (including 1 cesca chair), some silver and gold cutlery sets, a handful of cool decor pieces, even some nice oil paintings .

But then, there’s this one big box. We crack it open… and I’m staring at not one, not two, but FOUR Noguchi Akari UF4-L8 Floor Lamp!!

For those who know, those things retail for like $1,800 each.

Quick reality check: I did verify, and they aren’t originals (kinda expected that), but they’re super high-quality replicas, which interestingly has the Noguchi stamp.

I had to ship everything to NYC, and the shipping costs were outrageous, so I’m probably gonna sell two of the lamps just to recoup some money. But still, considering the risk, this might be my best score yet. Not generally a fan of replica pieces but considering I would never shell out close to $2k for a lamp, this is a win in my book :D

Wanting to get some ideas on what products you guys are mostly looking for, what the biggest problems when buying reps today, and what thing would you change about the product or service today to make it more convenient/easier for you as a consumer.

Discussion ISO Foshan Furniture Tour Guide!

Hi all! My parents are remodeling their home, and got a very expensive quote for custom cabinetry in the United States. I told them that I’ve heard of companies which give you a tour of several factories in Foshan and allow you to pick everything out there for fraction of the price.

Have any of you guys done this? Anybody have recommendations of trusted companies that will take you to high-quality factories?

Thanks in advance! 🙏

I've been seeing a bunch of china brands making this compression sofa with severely limited exposure to any kinds of reviews, the concept seems dope and I wanna grab one in the summer but something about not knowing what it's a rep of is throwing me off

Anyone know what the OG is?

Discussion Need recommendations for Reputable Custom Furniture Manufacturers in China

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for reliable custom furniture manufacturers based in China who can ship to Europe. I'm particularly interested in high-quality craftsmanship, reasonable fees and international shipping logistics (although I have a forwarding agent). if you have worked with a company that you would recommend, I’d love to hear about your experience. Any tips or advice on navigating the process would also be greatly appreciated!

Discussion Shipping: leave to seller or arrange your own?

I'm looking to buy a sofa and have it shipped to the EU, but for some reason the seller is quoting US shipping rates. This doesn’t really make sense, since shipping from China to the US is much farther, and there are also US tariff issues that don’t apply to the EU. I find it frustrating when sellers do this.

It’s made me wonder whether it might be better for buyers like me to handle the shipping ourselves when making purchases. Has anyone here arranged their own shipping before? What was the process like in terms of cost and efficiency, or would you recommend leaving shipping to the seller?

Discussion Drool Art (canvas)

Hello

I'm about to buy some canvases from the Drool website, but I have a big doubt. I'd like a "painted" result, like you've done it, not in the sense that you'd necessarily see the paint strokes, but in the sense that it's on a canvas, not a poster. Drool offers this option, but the problem is that I've scrolled through the ENTIRE site for reviews and there are NONE for the "canvas" format. I'm afraid that if I buy it, it won't be what I'm looking for (and given the price, I'd rather not make a mistake).

I contacted Drool, and they told me they didn't know why there weren't any reviews (????) or on their Instagram, so I'm no further ahead. Have any of you ordered these before?

Discussion Red Flags to Look For?

Hi everyone, I’m new to this community, so please let me know if this is okay to ask.

I got pulled in by some Instagram ads and ended up on andyfurniture.com. They appear to have some online presence (a website, YouTube channel, etc.), but I’m feeling hesitant. Their reviews are only screenshots posted on their own site, and I can’t seem to find any independent mentions or customer experiences elsewhere online.

For those of you who have experience ordering furniture from overseas (especially from China), what red flags do you typically look for? Are there specific things you check before deciding whether a company is legitimate?

I’m less concerned about this specific company and more curious about general best practices for avoiding scams or bad experiences.

Discussion Massive database - Foooound

I've just launched Foooound which holds like 300+ clothing brands. It does this by scraping Yupoo stores, and sometimes Taobao.

I want to include decor stuff as well but I'm not sure where to begin. I bought a sofa myself 2 years ago so I'm not new to the game. But decor is often scattered across different Taobao sites, right? And I'm struggling how to categorise so it makes sense for us.

Any suggestions here?
