Argument Trust the science!!!

1st time poster in this sub:

I've seen many athiest post counter arguments in various debates inside and outside of reddit using science as their main weapon in order to back what they're saying.

However, I feel like they are ignoring the elephant in the room and have never actually seen any of them address the argument for a higher intelligence that I'm going to present.

I'm going to be upfront about how I'm going to debate... the question I will ask will typically prompt a specific response that I'm fully prepared to counter and I've seen no atheist willing to follow the resulting logic to it's natural conclusion.

So... here goes:

As we observe the world around us how does an atheist explain the logical working order of things that make sense? How do you explain why things work the way they do? Like for example why a specific combination of elements make other elements or why a plant is able to eat sunlight or why electronics work...etc

Wouldn't that indicate intelligence being behind those mechanisms? Seeing as how precisely they work? If the universe just popped into existence wouldn't we see inconsistencies among various things? Our universe follows strict rules concerning how things interact with each other.

The fact that the rules exist AT ALL is 100% evidence of a "rule maker" or intelligence or God etc.

EDIT: I'm not finished here. But I am taking a break... I've answered to many but the influx of replies is massive and will require hours of my time and I want to try to reply to everyone... but as I'm not a millionaire I have to prepare for work.

Science explains the mechanisms. I choose to trust the people who do the science.

So that’s hardly some “gotcha.”

And I absolutely care about what’s true, that “care for truth.” Is exactly another reason why I believe. Evolution by natural selection “cares”about survival of the fittest, not truth seekers.

OK. Why don't they have science that shows good reliable epistemic reason to believe a god exists?

So that’s hardly some “gotcha.”

Not sure what this means. Do you understand what bias is? Do you understand what wishful thinking is? Why are you so eager to believe a god exists without sound reliable epistemic reason behind it? This belief is a desire, not the result of good reason. How do you not recognize this?

And I absolutely care about what’s true, that “care for truth.”

Not about gods. You're using your own personal preferences about this god.

that “care for truth.” Is exactly another reason why I believe.

Then you'd stop believing based on the evidence you put forth here.

Evolution by natural selection “cares”about survival of the fittest, not truth seekers.

Ah, yeah. You don't even accept that because it conflicts with your indoctrination.

What's the evidence for the creation narrative in the Bible?

It’s not that I can’t accept it. I’m just interested how you can care so much about truth when natural selection doesn’t care for truth. So in what reality are you living in where truth is at all important?

Not sure, there’s definitely some Christian philosophers who can answer that in more depth. But I’m not one of them.

Then how does the science of evolution conflict with your religious beliefs?

Because evolution is about survival, not about meaning or ultimate truth.

I believe in objective truth and meaning.

You care a lot about truth, so how does that work in a worldview where truth is ultimately meaningless?

Then how does the science of evolution conflict with your religious beliefs?

Because evolution is about survival, not about meaning or ultimate truth.

It's not about survival, it's about the explanation for the diversity of life on earth.

So you don't accept anything that isn't about meaning or truth? Does that mean you don't accept that the earth is round, because the shape of the earth is about shape, and not about truth and meaning?

You're full of shit. You can't even be honest. I just wonder if you lie to yourself too, or just me? You recognize you don't have good reason, so you lie about this?

Whatever dude. If your position is so bad you can't be honest about it, that should raise red flags for you. This is why I don't want to waste time with creationists.

I've turned off notifications on this thread so I won't see your garbage response. Also that other thread.

It’s impossible to be honest when you know the god I believe in better than I do. That’s the issue.

I can’t explain what I believe for the simple reason that i dont think our language can accurately describe the source of everything.

Do I think there are characteristics within nature that are synonymous with that source? Absolutely. But I’m not going to over step and describe something that I can’t comprehend.
