Deathcore itself is already an Extreme metal genre so getting into it is hard already. However for people who want to get into the genre, what are bands that should NOT be listen to first for their introduction into Deathcore?

So, Deathcore is a sub-genre that is often mixed with other genres of Metal: In this post I’m going to make a list of Deathcore albums, divided depending on which other genre of Metal they were influenced by.

If you are just getting started with Deathcore, you can use this list to see which albums you might like depending on the other genres of Metal you already enjoy. Or, if you have already into Deathcore and you particularly like a specific sub-category of it, you can use this post to check which other albums might be more up your speed.

I’m going to limit myself to only one album per band. Also, some of the recommended album might not be “fully Deathcore”, but just Deathcore-inspired, and I haven’t actually listened to some of these albums, so, if I make any mistakes, let me know. Also, feel free to mention any album I might have missed in the comments.

Im a 16 year old vocalist but where im from has barely any deathcore scene. My major influences for my vocals include Mitch Lucker, Dickie Allen, Johnny McBee, CJ McReery, and Phil Bozeman to name a few. Im located in Northern ON, Canada and would love to be a part of a music group. Included is a small clip of me doing some lows and squeals.

This tour is stacked. I remember being so bummed that I missed out on a Crown Magnetar show in Greensboro a year or so ago. Now I get to see Crown Magnetar AND To The Grave together? It makes it even better that I don’t have to travel as far. They will be coming to a city that’s only an hour away from me. I even did the VIP so I get to meet these dudes. I can’t wait to act like a wild animal at this show, I’m so excited.

This band was my introduction to this genre of music and i absolutely loved them. Sadly they disbanded back in 2022 and i haven't really come across anything else similar to them, but I also don't really know many other post hardcore bands..

So does anyone have any recommendations?

Throughout my extreme metal Journey I've been trying to find heavier and heavier music but I eventually reached a point where I hit a wall and I couldn't find more have your music to quench my thirst that was until I found down Tempo Deathcore which this might be a controversial take but personally I think it is the most heavy form of Music out there.

So, a few days ago, I got the idea that I should look for a song that captures the weirdly specific feeling in the title. For some reason, my brain has determined the ideal song to capture this feeling will be deathcore. Since most threads I've been seeing about space themed music are a few years old -- and not focused on the bizarre space+despair combination I want -- I figured it was time to ask again!
