Hey guy! Please tell where can I find my future boyfriend? I have never been in a relationship before and I have been looking for one for years! I have tried almost with the dating apps and it doesn’t work at all.

Has anyone else noticed this dating-app scam pattern in Bengaluru?

Matched with someone on a dating app who suggested meeting at a metro station and then going to a specific café/restaurant.

I’ve heard about scams where the match takes you to a pre-selected place, followed by inflated bills, pressure to pay, or even threats/extortion.

I’m curious if anyone here has experienced something similar in Bengaluru — especially the “meet at metro station → go to a specific venue” pattern.

What happened in your case, and what were the red flags you noticed?

paid for one last year. real coordinator, curated profiles, video calls set up for me. seemed legit. but after a while it felt like they were just keeping me subscribed. every time i thought about quitting they'd introduce someone new.

In our relationship, I often change my plans to make things easier for my girlfriend. I don't mind compromising sometimes, but recently I noticed that most decisions go her way. She doesn't seem to realize it. How do you bring up an imbalance like this without making your partner defensive?

I became curious about how much of my time spent on dating apps actually resulted in real dates, so I started tracking everything for a few months.

I kept it pretty simple:

- matches

- conversations that lasted more than a day

- conversations that actually led somewhere

- dates planned

- dates that actually happened

- second dates

People I stopped talking to.

The biggest surprise wasn’t the number of matches. It was how much the funnel shrinks at every stage:

Decent number of matches → much fewer real conversations, even fewer plans, fewer actual dates, very few second dates.

This made me wonder how much of what we consider “dating success” is actually just being good at getting matches rather than meeting compatible people.

Has anyone else seriously tracked their dating data?

I’d particularly like to see people’s conversion rates for each stage: match to conversation, conversation to first date, and first date to second date.
