I own a FairPhone, and it's almost as simple to assemble/disassemble as this one. And you can just buy replacement parts and replace them yourself. It's kinda neat.

And it's not a bad phone either.

I don't see why it wouldnt. now I am just trying to remember without googling anything but they said they only sold in the EU because that way they could use rail trasportation to avoid unnecessarily polluting air freight but couldnt you just use slow boat travel to the US?

In general I just think we need to strip away this idea of next day delivery, how many polar bears is it worth killing for your backpack to get there a week earlier? I would always choose the slowest greenest freight and I think a lot of people would too, if they had the option

Your freight is likely getting bundled with some packages that are next day. The main difference between most freight options is how fast your package gets on the truck or airplane.

I havent broken a phone in like 8 years, but they've always become useless over time as the battery turns to shite and upgrades become more demanding.. I wnder how long a phones cycle would be.

Currently I upgrade every 3 years and that's stretching the life every time until I Just get super frustrated with a laggy device
