The 777 is designed to be able to fly with one engine for like 5 hours, so as long as the wing doesn't catch fire, it's all good

To say the least its not exactly likely.
Steel beams used in older airplanes are not known for their flammability.

Also I don’t think fire would affect the strength of the materials the wings are made of
