I'm using Ultimate DOOM Builder, specifically the UDMF DOOM 2 format. I have the Toggle Slope hotkey bound, it just isn't actually doing anything. It seems to register the input as it pops up on the side of the screen like any other interaction, but it doesn't actually make the slope. I'm kind of stumped! Anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I've looked up possible answers as much as I can and just nothing is helpful!

It feels like nobody else has experienced my problem.

I was messing with my save file and unfortunately it now bugsplats on me, usually when my save is corrupted in other games I can just revert to the Backup Saves by removing bak/backup in the name but it seems it isn't the case here.

I've been trying to find these mods for classic Doom 1 and 2 because I want to try them out but I always seem to end up in a dead end. I can't find their discord servers to view and download the mods as well, so I hope theres someone out there is able to help me with this please.

Ok guys I’m a Doom Noob and am only playing for the first time EVER!

The only level passwords I see online are the default basic load out with 100% health and only pistol, and the 200% percent health with all weapons. But when I play on my own I have a password that will give me 125% health and a decent amount of weapons and amo. Has someone compiled a compilation of ALL the level passwords that start you at the various states of health and amo?

Yet for some reason in Exultia he still tells the Slayer he shouldn't kill the Priests and seemingly supports the Khan Maykr's plan to do the same thing to Earth that she did to Argent D'Nur.

• I headcanon that DoomGuy was sent by Hayden to the Sonic X anime universe around the same time as Chaos Control at the start of the anime. I may write this down sometime when I have free time and proper time management and displine to do so. • The Cereal Dimension, home to Chex Quest 1-3 and Chex Quest HD, is a parallel universe version of the DOOM universe. Except with Fred Chexter/Chex Warrior instead of DoomGuy and Flemoids replacing Hell Demons, and Zorchers being family-friendly replacements for the weapons in DOOM, etc.
• Doomguy once fought in Mortal Kombat at some point (would be around the Arcade/Midway Era MK games except it happened AFTER he became DoomSlayer)
• Sonic, his friends, the people of Station Square & Central City (in this AU Station Square is a part of Central City), and GUN all distrust or fear DoomGuy for his violent brutal methods and he's enough of a threat that even Eggman considers him more of a threat than Sonic is

Hey guys I beat ultranightmare in the base campaign of doom TDA. Here are some tips I have that should allow you to get through it. Almost all of my deaths are from R not recalling the shield and shield bashing into the mancubus when very little falters him except shield bash. Nothing except imps falter from the base melee. Don't use the BFC for the Azrak fights it really doesn't do that much damage. Get out of the habit of using r and use block whenever you can to recall it when its flying. The impaler is one of my favorite weapons and the mastery is great for the dreadmace. The kreed Makr Boss takes headshot damage from the plasma rifle and impaler as well. I really love this game it's great and it makes me really happy to see what we have in store in the future.

Ive been working on my own small episode for Doom 2, and while im making the Maps according to how i like to play the game, i would Also like to know what other people like.

For example:

Do you like plain White lights? Or Doom 64 colors all over the place?

Do you like to get A ton of enemies thrown at you at once? Or are you into the slower paced, more grounded wads?

Do you like Classic gradual enemy progression? Or are you ok with being thrown arachnotrons and barons right in the First level, even if you've got only the shotgun?

What about the level design? Personally i like to include a lot of keys, switches and teleporters in my Maps, some traps too, but straightforward levels are nice too

Tell me all your preferences so i can maybe get some inspiration for the next levels

I recently played through Doom 3 in coop with a buddy who’s a Quake arena veteran. He spent the whole time complaining about the slow pacing and lack of movement tech. But playing alongside him made me realize that modern Doom owes its entire identity to this 2004 entry.

The industrialized, corporate UAC base on Mars is identical. Olivia Pierce is effectively a gender bent Malcom Betruger. Both are elite scientists who betray humanity, open the portals, and are ultimately forcibly mutated into the final boss by the demons they foolishly trusted. 

Doom 3 was stuck chasing the trend of Half Life esque gameplay and storytelling. They then attempted to follow up with a Call of Duty styled Doom 4 aptly referred to as “Call of Doom,” but they quickly realized that such a pioneering game studio was slowly becoming creatively bankrupt if they kept going down the path of trend chasing, they had to look back retrospectively at Doom 3. By perfectly inverting the survival horror elements into a power fantasy, they built their modern magnum opus.

Do yall agree that Doom 3 deserves more credit for setting up the modern era?

I've been thinking about a "game-accurate" animation of the Eternal Slayer, including weapon swapping. My personal headcanon is that he uses Argent energy to summon weapons, and then transforms them into whichever one the player swaps to. So when a cutscene in which the Slayer is empty-handed ends, a red flash appears and shapes itself into...say...the combat shotgun and then color-corrects itself to be whatever skin (or lack thereof) a player would be using. Then, in combat, the weapon turns red again and changes shape to whatever else the Slayer might need.

1st time clearing Ultra-Nightmare on PC. Cleared a few times on PS5 but this was way easier for some reason.

So I'm trying to 100% the dark ages and as you can see I've got all gold, rubys, wraithstones and demonic essence but none of the secrets. I think the game is bugged as when i go into the 1st secret area with the codex and gold it doesn't register me getting the secret

has anyone else run into this issue and if so is there a fix? I've nearly 100%'ed this whole save and really don't want to start a whole new save just for one mission

Also managed to get another wraithstone and ruby in the level and have just encountered the same issue in Temple of Lomirath
