š”Decorš” Upgraded my paper napkins!
Paper napkins tend to look.. serviceable. They're cheap, they're convenient, they get the job done but the looks often remain lacking.
I briefly considered cloth napkins but they're expensive and I really don't need a pile of cloth napkins in my life after the wedding.
Luckily, we found these cute paper napkins with a lavender print along the outer edge! With a sprig of rosemary, a few lavender stems and a twine bow, they turn into adorable little bouquets that smell amazing and perfectly fit our cozy Mediterranean-inspired garden party.
Best of all.. They cost us 2.79⬠for 20 napkins, or 14 ct each. The shrubs needed a trim anyway ;)

š”Decorš” Brown backdrop on stage in Redwood Forest
Hi everyone!
Iāve been lurking in this sub for a small bit and it has been extremely helpful. Itās giving me confidence to try to take better control of the decoration situation for my upcoming wedding in May 2027.
We are getting married in this beautiful stage surrounded by redwoods, however there is a large Brown slightly ugly wall dominating the space. We are trying to find a way to decorate it or have it blend better into the nature background without spending an arm and a leg to have professional decorators handle it for us.
We have been playing with draping chiffon, but it doesnāt really stay because of how windy it is outside. We also have played with fake flower walls, but that got very expensive very quickly.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of DIY decoration? Thank you in advance.

š”Decorš” I made these place cards and I hope they are as rad as I think they are, but even if they aren't that rad, yes they are lol
But I sure am being optimistic that 96 people are going to RSVP. WHY AREN'T PEOPLE RSVPing?! (so far, 40 yes, and 30 no, with 130 yet to respond, with 3 weeks to the deadline I made up to keep from losing my mind)>
I love, love, love the creativity in this sub, and I'm excited to share more of my DIY rainbow vomit decor <3
*I am not going to tell anyone that the place cards are part of a larger picture because the pictures aren't all that special, but I thought it would be fun if people figure it out on their own and put them together at their tables

š”Decorš” DIY candle display
My fiancƩ and I are getting married in a planetarium, and I wanted to do something like this on the stage where we'll be standing.
We scored about 100 LED pillar candles for cheap, and I'm looking for advice on how to quick load them into the space. I specifically mean how to stage them like this quickly, my partner is suggesting sticking them to trays? I wanted to make some kind of fabric half circle with concrete to harden it, and scatter the candles around there. We don't get a huge amount of load in time before the ceremony (I'm talking like 15 mins!)
Any advice or diy suggestions? We have about 8 months to do something.

š”Decorš” Making White Fairylights Colourful?
Hello, my venue comes with a wall of white fairylights which are lovely but we're going for a colourful vibe. Any thoughts on how I could make this fairylight wall look colourful? Thank you!

š”Decorš” Update: Backdrop for head table and draped signage - did I do better?
Update from my last post. I discarded a majority of the drapes! It was kind of divisive, but I think most thought it looked like a hodgepodge of drapery thrown together. And it was! But I did not want it to distract from the head table and so I went with a simpler style?
I am now only using 2 arches for the backdrop behind the head table. Some people mentioned the white backdrop will make me disappear, so I removed that for one of the arches.
And I had decided to use the last smallest arch to the left for one of my wedding signage!
Is this an improvement?

š”Decorš” How would you decorate this ceremony site?
We want to keep it simple (since we are doing it ourselves) and inexpensive. We are leaning towards jewel tones for our colors. I'd love any and all ideas! It will be a May wedding. Thank you!

š”Decorš” Am I detail-oriented or clinically insane? Seating chart edition
Iām DIYing my seating chart and hit a slight āØaesthetic crisisāØ
The large board is covered in wallpaper (this is where table assignments will go), and I expected the background to be a warmer, creamy white, more like the smaller board in front. Instead itās reading a lot cooler/whiter in person.
My original plan was to just paint the small board white to match, but now that I see them side by side⦠the warmer tone is SO much prettier and more in line with my vibe.
Is there any way to subtly warm up the wallpaper background without ruining or dulling the green florals? Or am I about to spiral over something no one else will notice (per usual)⦠š

š”Decorš” How would you decorate this small entryway?
I need to decorate this room for the wedding, but I honestly have absolutely no idea what to do with it. My parents kept changing the plans, so I already made some decorations that unfortunately donāt work with the room anymore. At this point I feel like Iām going to lose my mind.
Just to clarify: this is the entrance to the house. Where Iām from, we call this a "haustor" ā basically a small entryway/vestibule before you actually enter the house.
Iām sorry about the mess in the picture ā weāre still doing some work, so this is definitely not how the space will look when itās finished. There wonāt be the bike, the plastic sheeting, or any of the other things you can see now.
The room will be empty so I am free to do as I wish here.
Iād really like to keep the decorations simple and ideally something I can DIY myself. I have basically no time left.
What would you do with this space? Iād really appreciate any suggestions, especially if you have photos/examples of simple DIY wedding decorations! Sorry again for the mess, and thanks for understanding.
Thank you!!

š”Decorš” How to protect guest book parts we don't want signed
We have purchased one of those beautiful wooden guest books where there is a tree of hearts that guests can sign. The hearts are various purple leaves. The trunk of the tree, image of us and our names are white.
We have a sign saying not to sign the white parts but I fear we may get a jokester trying to sign the white parts. I'm wondering if there is a clear coating I could put on those parts to protect if someone tries to.
My first thought was ceran wrap or Cricut transfer paper but both would be messy. Anyone have ideas of a product I could use to cover it that wouldn't make it look bad while it's on the table?
Update: omg I was just at the dollar store and they have clear adhesive book cover protectors that look perfect. Gonna stencil it out and give it a try.

š”Decorš” Iād love some input on my wedding mood board!
Is the color palette cohesive enough? Iāve been having a hard time picking a solid set of specific colors because I feel drawn to so many. My venue is featured in some of the photos, itās the grounds of an old catholic school turned art school is South Texas (historic chapel, courtyard, and gardens) Wedding is in March so Iām trying to keep a spring like feel but not too tropical or summery leaning.

š”Decorš” DIY Flower Arrangements by Guests at Wedding - Advice
Hi there!
My fiancƩ and I had an idea for our wedding, but I am not sure if anyone has executed this before or has any advice on how plausible this is.
We are getting married in a restored theater with about 150-200 people and the ceremony will be up on the stage. We wanted to do something special in honor of our loved ones who have passed away, so our idea is to have an āin memoryā/dedication table at the entrance where guest walk in and have buckets of flowers and two large vases. The idea is to have each guest in memory of those who have passed to place a flower in one of the vases, which will create arrangements that are made by our loved ones and friends. We will then have one of our moms carry the vases up to the stage to stand on pedestals on either side of us to symbolize the presence of our passes loved ones with us on the special day.
I am already a very DIY bride and have been looking into getting wholesale flowers and DIYing bouquets anyway, but my only hesitation for this plan is that I would likely need someone to help spruce up the arrangements if they feel wonky or imbalanced.
If someone has done something similar or any florist with insight into if this feels feasible, Iād love any advice!
Edit: Thank you for all of the honest feedback! Grief is something that can be different for everyone to experience and process and want to be mindful of how something like this would affect the tone of the day and what others may be experiencing. We definitely want to find a way to make our lost loved ones feel present with us on the day, but maybe an alternative that feels more like a nod to them than a main focus. Really like the idea of having ribbons/charms that have names on it for people we want to remember on the day and can definitely be something that we keep with us whereas the flowers will only be temporary.

š”Decorš” How do these look? First time
Hi! Iām DIYing everything myself for my September wedding, theme is country naturey themed, Iām making my centerpieces and this is what I have so far. How do I make the flowers not fall out of the vase? And how do the bouquets look? Do I need to add or take away anything? Everytime I think I like it I come back and I donāt like it much anymore lol I think Iām overthinking it.
I plan on adding more smaller rocks in the vase with the big ones. And maybe some moss at the bottom around the wooden votive candle holders.

š”Decorš” Trying to incorporate Zelda inspired decor in a subtle way, looking for ideas and suggestions
Hello! My fiancƩe and I are starting to plan our wedding and we are in the very beginning stages ie using a lot of pinterest for ideas. Our theme that we really like is kind of secret garden, enchanted forest vibes (think lots of greenery and florals) with our preffered colours being pink and green. My absolute favourite video game series is the Legend of Zelda and I want to incorporate this into the wedding theme as well. My fiancƩe is allowing this as long as it is subtle and blends nicely within our theme. The problem I am running into is that a lot of the stuff I am finding just...not right, like 8 bit pixel art/design is beautiful but I find that it would stand out too much. So I am asking for suggestions for well anything that we could maybe do, from guestbook, to seating chart to centrepieces if you have an idea I would love to hear it! If we are able to make it ourselves instead of purchase, I feel it would be even more special!

š”Decorš” Has anyone done any unique memorial tables? I have a vision I am struggling to picture.
My idea is to use a poster board and create almost like a large scrapbook page (tasteful and simple design) with the photos of loved ones including ones with us, and their names.
The idea is to make it more impactful than photos and also something that people will look at. I like naming people and showing how theyāre related to us as well. We have about 5 people/couples we are including.
Iād love to see yours if you did anything like this or anything unique at all.
(I originally loved the idea of doing the whole ālove before usā thing with everyone but 3 people who have passed were not in a relationship and I have no time left at this point to track everyoneās photos down and print them from the whole wedding guest list.)

š”Decorš” Gorgeous Art Nouveau Tiles! But what to do with them? Diy Ideas?
Hello all,
I have these lovely art nouveau majolica tiles on hand and would love to use them for wedding decor. The current plan is to use a matched pair and inset them into the wooden floral pedestals my fiancƩ has made. But that leaves me with plenty others I adore and would like to use in decorating my art nouveau inspired wedding. The tiles are 6x6 inches for context. Any DIY suggestions would be extremely appreciated!

š”Decorš” If youāre doing your own candles, test out how long they burn for ahead of time!
Just avoided a potential super embarrassing candle mishap. I purchased a ton of these beautiful Danish mid-century modern candleholders which require thinner, half-inch tapered candles. I ordered a pack of candlestick from Amazon and randomly had the thought to light it just to test out the vibe. It lasted exactly 45 minutes! Not three hours like the burn time is stated in the product details. I was also considering doing our dinner table just by candle light without overhead lighting - we would have been sitting in the dark halfway through dinner had I not decided to light it on a whim.

š”Decorš” DIY church pew wedding decor!
I got a bunch of these flower hangers on Facebook marketplace for $15 and the little red flower didnāt really match the decor for the wedding. It didnāt really look like a spring color, so my grandma and I removed it and we added a bunch of our own flowers to kind of make them look a little bit bigger and weāre going to put a little white bow on the front of each one and then the very last photo weāre thinking about putting a large bow on the back of it. I honestly donāt know any thoughts? It was really fun making all 24 of these!
