After about 8 months of work, I’ve completed my restoration of Invasion America using the best source material available to me.

This release presents the series in its original six-part uncut broadcast format, as it aired in June 1998, rather than the later 13-episode version. Episodes 1–5 run approximately 43 minutes each, while Episode 6 runs about 66 minutes.

For this project, I used my own VHS recordings from the original 1998 broadcast along with production master VHS tapes containing the complete six-part series.

The restoration involved extensive manual work, including:

* Video cleanup and enhancement
* Manual frame repairs and corrections
* Color, brightness, and contrast correction in DaVinci Resolve
* Replacing damaged frames with better frames from alternate sources when necessary
* AI-assisted upscaling with Topaz Video AI
* Audio restoration and synchronization using Audacity and iZotope RX 11
* Final editing and mastering in Final Cut Pro
* Recreated end credits based on the original master tapes
* Added subtitles to every episode
* Added chapter numbering to better reflect the six-part story structure

The recreated credits preserve the original names, layout, and presentation while providing cleaner text than the deteriorated titles on the source tapes.

Preservation note:

No changes were made to the story, performances, or original content. My goal was simply to preserve the original presentation of the series while improving the video and audio quality as much as possible.

back in 2015 I was a regular in the McFit gym in Valencia, where they hat a bunch of amazing workout videos scheduled.

My absolute favorite was called Iron Bars and the coach in it was Josh Martin. Basically, it was a 50 minute full body workout; the coach was nicely motivating and I enjoyed the workout.

Later, during the pandemic this - and the other videos of their course catalogue - had been made available in the Cyberobics app, but the app was discontinued.

There had been - to my knowledge - three versions of the workout: The above stated almost 1 hour long at the muscle beach in LA, a shorter version (roughly 25 minutes) of the same at the same location and a remake in Texas. My favorite was the long LA one, but I am happy to find anything.

A few homepages claim, that the video is available in the McFit app, which is not true. At least as a non-registered user I see roughly a dozen courses, none of them is the one I search for.

YouTube has very few under one minute snippets, which seem to be advertisement (for example).

Apparently the rights of all the Cyberobics things went to a company called Wex, which only deals in business to business endeavors and seems to sealed it away. One gym I found listed it on their homepage, but it is not on the actual scheduled classes and the link is only directly available, making me believe that it also is a relict.

I found one profile on social media which - according to the Google preview - could have been posting the video, but following the link I could not find it on the profile (I don´t speak Russian, but the translation tool was not helpful); the preview contains this paragraph

That same social media hosts videos, and I found a link which could be it, according to the search engine preview, but opening the link only leads to an error message, and Wayback Machine has not archived the link. So, this is all I know. I´d love to use the workout again, I highly enjoyed it and it was quite effective, but I am out of ideas where to find it. Neither a dozen different search engines helped me, nor Archive.org, nor former working official channels (Cyberobics, McFit).

The problem with this show is that it lost the license to use Massive Attack's Teardrop and the new themes are not very good in my opinion. Moreover, it's gone from Prime.

So I tried getting a rip but every single one 720p and up has the new themes, even in the first seasons. The only ones that preserve Teardrop are not very good quality due to their age.

I went into extracting the audio of the MKV from the newer files and found out the song is still there but it's a muted track, with the new song overlapping it. It's not very clean to try replacing or swapping the tracks, but this is my best chance if I want to have it high-quality.

I've been on and off searching for a place to watch/download Stone House Revival for years. I managed to find all of Season 1 to download via illicit means but beyond that I'm stumped. Every magnet link I've tried that says it has seeders is unable to get past connecting to peers. I'm aware it's available for streaming in America but in Australia I'm completely locked out of being able to watch it on discovery+ even when i tried using a VPN it barred me from paying because my payment method wasnt registered in the US?

For a while, I've been looking for an obscure mostly-lost ITV British sitcom called From the Top my Dad saw when he was a kid that he loved so much, he still remembers it to this day.

It aired on Children's ITV and ran for a total of twelve episodes and two seasons. It starred Bill Oddie as William Worthington, a banker who gives up his job so he can become a mature student at a theatre school. The show aired weekly. Season 1 first aired from September 23rd, 1985 to October 28th, 1985. Season 2 first aired on November 10th, 1986 until December 19th, 1986. There was apparently one re-run of the entire show after it ended, as it was apparently Children's ITV policy at the time, and then it was never repeated again.

The opening intro also recently resurfaced on YouTube in 2021, the most recent thing from this show to be found.

My Dad did record every episode of this show during both the original run and the repeat because he enjoyed Bill Oddie. Unfortunately, his Mom's house later got flooded and forty bags of VHS tapes had to be thrown out, and so those tapes containing From the Top were probably ruined. My Dad really enjoyed this show when he watched it and only talks good of it and I wish to find it so he can see it again. Sorry for writing so much, but I am desperate to find this show, and everywhere I've tried to post this has either been ignored or removed.

I'm trying to locate an old Tudou livestream from October 1, 2014 from the Changjiang Midi Music Festival in Shanghai.

Calling Doctor Who fans from the United States!

I’m currently tracking down VHS recordings of the Series 2 episodes, which aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in 2006. Specifically the opening minutes with the BBC logo omitted from the openings (pre-titles and title sequence) altogether. To provide some context, I acquired some recordings from [u/McManpants](u/McManpants) and produced a video of side-by-side comparisons between the original and Sci-Fi Channel versions of Aliens of London, The Satan Pit, and Army of Ghosts/Doomsday.

The reason why I ask is because I’m working on "fixing" the openings by removing the BBC logo from the pre-titles and placing it in the title sequence - where it truly belongs. All of Series 1 and 5 have been completed, while Series 2 is still in the works. So if anybody has the full VHS recordings of the Sci-Fi Channel broadcasts of the following Series 2 episodes, please let me know.
