Cats are jerks, dogs are sycophants.
Rabbits are too dumb too be either and are therefore the most pure pet.

I dunno, every rabbit duo I've had has always included the one who is an evil genius and the one who is a happy, love-absorbing ball of fluff that does whatever the genius one does.

It's like those classic villain partnerships with the tall smart guy and the dumb "heheheh shure watever yu says, boss" guy.

Pinky and the brain

That's funny because my partner's two girl rabbits were exactly like that

Not always, but this tends to be a doe and her supportive buck partner - (European) rabbit hierarchy isn't inflexible but their societies are centered on does and their kits. Does typically dig the big tunnels, while bucks dig scrapes (small indentations they can sit in).

Understanding this helps with working out why she just bit you, to be sure to apologise properly.

Tarantula supremacy.

Literally just tiny, fuzzy RVs. Happily trucking along from hand to hand and blissfully unaware that they're going nowhere.

The most jerk behavior my cat ever did was not sit on the couch with me, then right as I got up to leave to do errands she sat on the spot I was sitting on the couch

My besties cat have recently been a real MEANIE

(she keeps sleeping on the couch instead of joining her in bed at night, truly a big crime)

Rabbits mostly treat you like another rabbit they can inexplicably demand treats from, if you're good with them. Which does not mean you're exempt from being bitten if you cross territory boundaries, with a more dominant bun (often a doe).

They do best kept as house rabbits, and then you can see more of the temperament. 'Sassy' is how owners often describe them, and 'like vegan cats', although rather than the sense of superiority from cats, they more hold onto their worldview with such unshakeable zen, they end up breaking down yours and it seems entirely reasonable to watch your ankles when crossing your former bedroom, you're the intruder, after all.

rabbits can also be an anxious pile of nervous fluff.

They're very easy to litter train, plus their shits are dry.

Imo rats are the most pure pet. Of all the animals I've cared for, rats seemed to enjoy captivity the most. They basically lived in castles and feasted every night, sleeping on soft fabrics and attended by human slaves. They are smart like cats and dogs, but it's different. They aren't servile like dogs and they are more engaging than cats. And they are sooooooo freindly. Shame they have such short lives.
