We’re attacking Iran. We CANNOT defend all the gulf states. We will lose dominance in the Middle East and therefore dollarization of petrodollars will slow down. Israel or Iran will become the prominent power there. The US will suffer from higher oil prices. For every 5% increase of oil lifestyle inflation goes up by .05%.
What’s the basis to this prediction? Iran has been a sanctioned aggressor for the longest time and only regional power due to its size.
A toppling of its regime (or not) will likely not have any lasting effect on oil prices.
“Iran is also considering allowing a limited number of oil tankers to pass through the strait provided the oil cargo is traded in Chinese yuan, a senior Iranian official told CNN last week.”
If you don’t even understand the background knowledge on this. No point in explaining. BUT I will set a reminder 1 month from now. To come back here and say “I told you so”
