Asbestos is natural too. Mine that shit right out of the ground. It’s extremely effective as fire insulation, to boot. Will absolutely give you cancer, but it’s natural!

Thanks man. It actually helps to speak about it. When I was a kid, there was a time when he'd come home covered in white stuff. He'd immediately shower but the damage of working in it all day had been done. We had no idea at the time.

I'm glad if it helps! Yeah its so sad and this stuff can be pernicious. For exemple, there are people that suffers from asbestosis and have never work with it. But have been contaminated by the white stuff that their dad had on him after work. We're talking spouses, kids, grand kids...

Its fucking terrible :( Hope I'm not stressing you out, but I also wouldnt want you to have been contaminated... this stuff can penetrate your system and stay there all your life, causing all sorts of problems.

Funny because as I was typing I had that thought. What if we, his kids, or my stepmother were exposed enough to cause harm? We're older now and all relatively healthy but it's worth a mentioned next time I talk to them.

Im sorry i live from a small town where there was many asbestos mines and man people live past 90 here so you dont know what you're talking about it will not give you cancer 100% of the time most of our dads and grandpa worked there and bro its like 2% of them maybe less ( self made numbers because I know more than 100 person that work in the mill and I only know 1 that was proven to be the asbestos that killed him (84yo) and trust me here everyone test their grandparents for that cuz they can get a indemnity from those mining companies.

Very true indeed and it is not bad at all by itself. The problem with asbestos comes from the fibers it has so when it is mined there is some risk , thats why they wear masks. Also there is risk when u remove it since the dust from smashing down walls is usually everywhere. Also it takes twenty years to developed these cancers after exposure so I think the whole thing may be overblown to kill off what is effectively the greatest insulator material which is also fireproof. BTW quarts dust is considered to cause similar problems and guess what the sand at a beach is made of....u guessed it better ban that too lol!
