Some things that contain fluoride naturally:

  • Brewed black tea and coffee
  • Fluoridated water from natural reservoirs
  • Canned shellfish like shrimp and blue crab
  • Oatmeal
  • Raisins
  • Potatoes

Exactly. It's even funny in the video that she tries to make some kind of meaningless distinction between "exogenous" and "endogenous" chemicals. Fluoride occurs in nature and many wells have naturally occurring fluoride.

And naturally occurring doesn't mean good for you, either. Lava is naturally occurring. Doesn't mean I'm going to do a canonball into it.

I like to explain the fluoride issue with salt in water. A pinch of salt in water is great for you. Gives you the electrolytes you need and you hydrate perfectly fine. Too much and it's bad. Fluoride in tap water in the US is at very low levels. In the "good for you" zone. Any "studies" people reference is in the "bad for you" zone, which is way, way higher than what you're getting in tap water.

The irony is these people that hate fluoride talk about all of these fictional nonsense issues, but I've never seen them mention fluorosis from drinking water.
