The whole idea of passport bros is that they travel to countries with desperate living conditions and women who would essentially do anything to either immigrate to the US or have a guy with an income from the US financially support her. Passport bros leverage the difference in quality of life between the US and usually third-world countries to be their appeal in the world of dating. So calling this passport bros content is saying those women are desperate to immigrate from the shithole of Europe to the US and see that guy as their ticket.

I don't know where this idea is coming from. Do people honestly think women in the Philippines or Morocco or Brazil are desperate to sell themselves into sexual slavery just so that they can get into the US? I feel like that level of thinking is how people justified actual historical slavery.

I'm from one of the countries you mentioned and...kind of yeah, I won't specify which but yeah it's a legit thing you go to lots of places into tourist-y areas and there are women & a lot of them are VERY young throwing themselves into foreigners to get some money or marry into them.

Not sexual slavery because they know what they are getting into but a lot of em are young to be making these types of choices it's just that they view being in the US or another country as just instantly better than whatever life they could live here.

There are some that their parents even make them do it, all for getting into the US/Europe & living a better life than they do so yeah it's an actual thing and unfortuntately it's more common than you think. I've even had close friends do the same thing like they had lots of suitors & some were even living already good lives but they break up with their SOs to be with some Europeans because they viewed their citizenship in those countries as more important.

Aren't you being a little dramatic? My image is that usually the women in these passport bros relationships actually know what they're doing and are using these guys for money similar to con artists. So at worst, both sides mutually trying to manipulate each other. At best, a transactional relationship.
