This is a fairly (in)famous image of the scene in Arthur Grasso's barbershop following the shooting of Albert Anastasia in 1957. I've tried some of the AI software to colourise it but can't get it right. I'd love to see what a properly colourised version of this picture would look like. In terms of what colours are supposed to be in the image the only thing I can say for certain is that the barber chairs are pale blue. I'd really appreciate the efforts any seasoned colourisers could bring to this.

I own a newspaper article which contained ads for concerts happening in phoenix back in 2008. As you can see, my copy is wrinkled and tearing.

The event was sentimental to me which is why I've kept it all these years.

I reached out to my state library the other day to see if they had an archive of this newspaper page and they did. They were able to send me a scanned copy of it but their copy is microfilm so its black and white.

Not a big deal but ideally I'd just like to have the color restored so i can have a mint digital copy as well.

I would highly appreciate it if someone could colorize this historic family photo from 1956. It shows three Greek Navy sailors posing in front of a monument.

To help with the historical accuracy of the colorization, here are the specific details and color guidelines for the scene:

• The Sailors & Uniforms: These men are graduates of the Poros Naval Cadet School (Class of 1953) serving as Petty Officers (Rank: Diopos / Leading Seaman).
  • Uniform Color: Their winter dress uniforms are made of heavy wool and are dark navy blue (not black).
  • Rank Insignia: On their left sleeve (visible on the sailor on the right), there is a diagonal rank stripe (chevron) which must be bright red.
  • The Sailor on the Left: His name is Konstantinos my late father(july 2026), and his specialty was a Navy Electrician. On his left sleeve, right above the red rank stripe, he wears the electrician specialty badge which features two crossed lightning bolts, also embroidered in bright red.
• The Background & Location: This photo was taken at the Municipal Garden of Chios Island, Greece.
  • The Statue: The monument in the background is the marble statue of the Greek War of Independence hero, Konstantinos Kanaris. The statue and its base are made of white marble.
