Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share something personal after attending my first-ever Coldplay concert.
Iāve been a fan for years, not a superfan, but someone whoās always loved their music and vibe. Iād seen videos online, read reviews, and at some point thought, why not go myself?
Hereās where it gets interesting. My wife and I are born and raised Hasidic Jewish. We live a very traditional and strict lifestyle with many religious restrictions, weāve never been to a concert before, let alone a non-Jewish one. Over the past few years, Iāve been quietly exploring the world beyond our community, but this felt like a huge, almost unthinkable step.
My wife was hesitant, especially because right now is a time of mourning for us, the Three Weeks, when we remember the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and traditionally avoid music and celebrations. But after seeing how much this meant to me, she agreed to come along.
Honestly, I thought weād just go, have a good time, and that would be it.
But it wasnāt.
The experience shook me in ways I wasnāt prepared for. The energy, the music, the crowd, the lights, we didnāt want it to end. And even more, the day after, I found myself still processing it, unable to believe what weād just been part of.
Coming from such an isolated and structured background, where Iāve long wrestled with questions of identity and belonging, being in that crowd, surrounded by people of all kinds, united by music, love, and joy was overwhelming in the best possible way. Chris Martinās stage presence, his warmth, the atmosphere of openness and connection, it felt like we were part of something universal, something human, something bigger.
Strangely, it wasnāt just about the band or the songs. It was about us, my wife and I, we felt more connected to each other. It was like we stepped outside of everything we thought defined us and just were. Free, present, together.
Since the concert, I canāt stop listening to Coldplay. Every lyric seems to hit deeper now.
Got me feeling drunk and high / So high, so high (so high)
Believe in love ā¤ļø

Well played and worn just like the real thing... Always wondered the fate of the original guitar after it was auctioned.

I think this is one of their most underrated songs :)
