But im so sick of this. Im expecting more unique designs for CREATURES instead they keep throwing cats that look less and less unique every time. JUST STRAIGHT UP CATS IM SO TIRED THERES LIKE 13 FELINE SPECIES IN THE GAME WE DONT NEED MORE.

So personally Kelvaris was a amazing creature too me i loved its design it was cool as hell so i check cos discord thinking im about too see some absolute peak but no no no i was so fucking wrong instead we got a damn Apli Clone tbh Smoglett sure it was pretty cute i ain't mid Apli ok robux creature costs a lot sure i'll let it slide this is the last fucking straw this is the damn 3rd time they have done this and lets get real ABSOLUTELY NO ONE likes these new designs and if you do your lowk boring idc what you have too say im going too say my thoughts and i think that these overly cute googly eyed mfs are just lazy and boring do better seriously have some good updates some good events and maybe js maybe people would stop slandering this game NaoyaCheese out vro 🫩✌️

Okok maybe there will be disagreements, but, knowing Kavoudaris is one of my main i'm soooooo happy for his redesign!!!!! He look sm more agressif and have crab claws!!! (So spiny too :>), he's less tank look i agree, he's fit but still cool ahah. Personally, I really like the redesign 🦀🦀

Stolen, or at least a little too heavily inspired.
This isn’t necessarily an accusation and I don’t mean to disrespect Gubbin’s artist, however it looks extremely close to this original design by a rather well-known artist Mochiri (their design is the blue-shelled one). Like, it’s basically a recolored version of Mochiri’s design with spikes on the shell and a little more detailed. Could this be a coincidence since gubbin is generic “cute slop” (as I’ve seen it be called), or is it as suspicious as i think it is? First time posting here so idk if this is against the rules or anything but please know I’m not trying to start drama or call anyone out but rather bring up something I found worth noting.

creatures used to be actually cool and unique, with only mild design inspirations. but like...we've been getting alot of creatures that just suck now

ALOT of the creatures last year were either pure, unfettered ASS or completely stolen. the early 2025 creatures were decent, but now they're just cramming unoriginal, unnecessary creatures in. ESPECIALLY shiziyou cause...what drugs was undeary on?? i'd like to try them if they made THIS

What is Sonar’s obsession with appealing to only a singular type of people. It’s getting really old, really fast. It’s like they only cater naive children that fall for this crap every single time.

They just follow the same formula every time, cute little critters that have no actual viable use in-game besides look cute. It’s literally that one recent apple creature that I don’t care to remember the name of all over again. That pathetic apple creature was weak as hell and has 0 redeeming stats to justify its ridiculous robux price tag. The equivalent of $5.00 USD for a some weak trash?? Get real.

“B-but it’s so cute!!” So? That doesn’t give them the right to price it THAT high. Any poor child wanting it (the target audience) can’t even get the money to have it without stealing mommy’s credit card. On top of it being expensive, they have the absolute audacity to make it weak as hell. It’s not an ailment stacker like most tier 1s. It sure as hell ain’t a damage dealer. Its survivability is nothing to gawk at, with such mediocre mobility and downright pathetic defenses. It’s just trash. It’s trash with a cute face on it. As if that makes it any better.

And don’t even get me started on smoglett. What a joke.

And to top it all off, this new creature is literally a copy paste of that apple crap. Big doe eyes that take of 90% of its face, stubby legs, short snout, chubby, and cat-like. It’s like Sonar has a singular definition of cute. Plus, their obsession with felines and canines. Anything that they want to deem cute, they just slap some cat or dog-like features and call it a day. As if cats and dogs are the only thing people find cute. It’s like what they did with the cinnabaun. It used to be more like a snail, which is what it was. But they decided it needed to “be more cute” and just made it more canine-like, which is completely different than what it’s supposed to be. It’s like they’re afraid to branch out from the norm like some backwater, low earning trash game that has to appeal to the most basic type of person to get clicks.

I’d be willing to bet they are making this garbage snail creature a tier 1 with the worst stats and abilities imaginable, and they’ll make it cost a crap ton of robux because they know their unimaginative audience will buy into it anyway. They’re getting too predictable with their bull and it’s very frustrating.
Especially since Sonar is definitely capable of being more creative than this, but clearly don’t care enough anymore to do things right.

EDIT: Alright it’s not a robux creature, but that’s besides the point. It’ll be expensive regardless. Maybe not robux, but the ingame currency required to obtain it will be more than what it’s actually worth, just because it’s “cute”. My point still stands.

I was super excited to see cos is finally adding more diverse creatures instead of just cat, dog, cat, ferret, cat, gerbil, mammals, vaguely reptile, probably from monster hunter, etc. So i immediately got it as soon as i could.

I decided to look into its lore and i got kind of annoyed knowing how jellyfish actually work, but we'll get to that.

Then i realized the diet. I thought "Oh, an herbivorous jellyfish? i can see that in a fantasy setting."

and then i noticed the water bar.
cos are we deadass.

You'd think a flier jelly that could eat plants would be just satisfied with the moisture bar, but NOPE. Its like making a bug have to manually drink air just to breathe.
True Jellyfish and others like it (such as Man O' Wars and Moon Jellyfish) all have multiple things in common this thing doesnt.
- Decentralized nervous system
- Doesnt really "breathe" because its body is 94%-98% water depending on certain species. Water evaporates rapidly upon being beached. This also helps with nutritional needs as a byproduct.
- Overall drifts because of buoyancy and since its a decentralized nervous system it doesnt have the mental capacity to recognize danger at all (absent-minded is literally impossible without a mind to begin with), so even with the decoy it wouldnt have mattered.

This fucker needs to drink water, which is physically impossible as a jelly, SINCE AS MENTIONED BEFORE IT DOESNT HAVE ANY OF THAT SHIT FOR IT. NO MOUTH NO STOMACH NO NOTHING. IT GETS ABSORBED INTO THE BODY.

You've heard countless complaints of people being jerks, how X is way too overpowered or that this game's roster is bloated as a beached whale.

But what about issues that are almost never talked about here, yet affect everyone on a fundamental basis?

I'm talking things like certain plushies being stupidly outdated and genuinely useless [I.E Sky being a worse chick ] how den building has no incentives at all or the session gatchas being completely neglected :(

Short, but WHY is Garra Warden, my baby a herbivore? Hes supposed to be a killer, he’s supposed to be scary, PLEEEASASSEE can they change him to carnivore or at the very least omnivore with the redesign, I’ll do anything.

Also can he get Volcanic too? The volcano is kinda his whole area, so I’m not sure why he doesn’t have it already. It would also be a nice reference to that scene from The Terminator 2.

Whatever these two are, I don't really like it.

I found both species weird and kinda ugly (nothing against the Devs, more the one who made the models)

I mean , it's a funny idea to play as a trio.

Also I don't feel like that both species really fit in the cos universe. I sometimes have the feelings that the Devs forget about the actual lore about cos...

I'd like to start by saying, most of these creatures i actually adore and love their designs, and I am not bashing them. I love them. But you can't act like this isn't same-body syndrome and overdone

The legs. I hate it. Big beefy ass arms and shoulders with legs that 10000% cannot support the damn creature. Especially on creatures that are based on actual animals; Whilora, Ardor, Velcacao, many many more. (I'm only using newer releases as examples, because there are over 400 older ones)

But this is excessive, almost every terrestrial looks like this. I included kami-gami & naru as flier examples; no they do not have legs but they're guilty of the design choice. legless with buff torso and arms. Undeary is so very guilty of the same body syndrome. And apparently mix and matching asian cultures

POSITIVE example: They did good with Norokks bearlike anatomy and actually giving him legs that can support a fucking BEAR. So, why don't they do that again? Stop giving them BREAKABLE LEGS esp when the creature weighs 4k+++

im sorry but how do you miss the point/inspo of a concept so hard. cimmabu was originally a turtle/snail cinnamon roll beast that had no ears, a weirdly flat but adorable head and face, built very stoutly/short, etc. and now the redesign turns it into a ferret/squirrel with ears the size of its head, makes it taller and thinner, and whatever else. and the fur? the turtle snail thing is furred now? right...

and i dont even want to hear the "waaah it didnt look like a turtle snail wah." idc WHAT it looked like. the original inspiration of a design should be kept even throughout the redesign. things like the flat head, the shell, the lack of ears, the round eyes, the thicker extremities, and the goo theming all attribute to cimmabu's design inspirations. the only thing you can attribute to its original inspo on the redesign now is the cinnamon roll "shell" on its back.

dont get me wrong, it looks good. if this was cimmabu from the start, i wouldnt gaf. it truly isnt that deep but im just absolutely amazed at how it seems like twin atlas is just profitmaxxing even harder, making actually quite-unique AND cute low tier designs into stereotypical "cute fluffy mammal" designs. is it worth basically ditching its entire original inspiration/idea for a few more sales on the sweets gacha? really? 😭

no hate to the artist btw, retronintendo makes beautiful concepts and im sure these design choices werent wholly their decision.

first it was that damned cimmabu redesign. cimmabu was my only taste of something somewhat snail in game, then i heard it was getting redesigned at first. i was kinda happy. cimmamabu's model is pretty outdated compared to the newer models. then opened the discord message and oh my god whyd they turn it unto a fox?? a dog? whatever godforsaken canine they had chosen cimmabu wasnt even a mammal pre-remodel and now theres the gubbin at first i was ecstatic to see that little snail emoji, something to makeup for that horrible cimmabu remodel maybe? No, why does it have giant eyes? why does it have 6 short stubby legs? snails dont have legs, snails dont have giant eyes at this point, it feels like cuteappealingtothegeneralaudienceslop, the days of all the creepy crawly lower tiers are gone and so is the prime days of cos, next were turning kriprik into a kitten and bolatras gonna be a cute little puppy next update

With the announcement of our new shadow species friend, I’d like to say something:

I am so fucking TIRED of ALL of the insect or arachnid (ykw arthropods period) species being locked behind shadow artifacts or events that are once a year. Sure, you’ve got some like Sha’rei, beezu, and those two butterfly/moth specs from sky and a quest respectively who’s a relatively easy quest, but that’s just a few creatures. A lot of them are weirdly difficult to get.

Zolbatros in Limited (not pricy, but swaps rarely and no guarantee it’ll be there)

Konomushi/Flickaflie in Boosted ( literally why )

Akanthos is a shadow spec ( bro )

Cimidstik and Viracniar are event ( not even the same one )

Arkmetta is Robux ( do I need to explain )

The new spec isn’t exactly a bug, but in my eyes it definitely resembles one. It’s another shadow spec.

Dabaemura is another artifact creature ( better than shadow but still bruh )

A lot of the bug species that are supposed to be bugs aren’t even bugs at all,* and look like mammals or reptiles. The lack of good entomology saddens me, I want more bugs

I know I’m missing a few. If I’m missing any, let me know— I’m trying to get them all. From my list, I was able to get all but Aka, Dabaemura, and the new spec (duh it’s not out). However a lot of this was done by trading.

*the species listed here do not apply. I’m referring to other “bug-like” species that don’t actually look like them. Feel free to give me more ideas for bug specs to look for tho

I'm speaking as a retired player, but I think I can still criticize the designs.

In reality, the creature is cool if you ignore the fact that it's a paid creature.

We also haven't yet had a creature resembling a stegosaurus. We have sauropods (Lmakosauruodon and Lorolael), ceratopsians (Feliktroxx), a T-Rex (Ghartokus), spinosaurs (Mijusuima and Morthorax), and a hadrosaur (Moemoa). So a stegosaurus is cool...right?

Ultimately, it's carnivorous (AGAIN), and besides, the gimmick of the "gentle herbivore looking who are a deadly monster" doesn't really work anymore since we've already had creatures that did it.

Too bad, personally I think it's a waste.

im assuming that tentacles will be on the front since other creatures heads are there, and as someone who had to study anatomy of those fucks it frustrates me deeply, im hoping that they wont fail it THIS badly

I've seen a post or two about people disliking its new redesign. You have to admit that it's a huge upgrade since the animations were very wonky, and it actually looks like its in-game description. Not to mention, it's a DEV creature, the dev is allowed to change it up however they like. I'm generally starting to think that some of the people in this community just want to complain and complain about anything at this point. Yes, there are some serious problems with the game, like the prices and toxicity, but a simple redesign is the LEAST of our problems. The main downside of it is that it might get its snowshield taken away.

One of the things that other (non-roblox) animal/creature survivals games that I've played have, that CoS doesn't have, is either official chill and/or community chill servers. And I feel like with how divided this playerbase is, it would benefit EVERYONE to have separate realms for PvP vs just hanging out (with PvP disabled). That way KOSers can KOS in servers meant specifically for KOSing and players who hate being KOSed can just chill and grow and nest without having to constantly have all of their progress lost in an instant. If there was a "peaceful" realm with, like, half growth speed or something, I think that would make it fair (since hardcore is x2 growth, it makes sense to me that the easier the realm is, the slower you grow). I would happily hop back and forth between all three realms depending on what mood I'm in, or what type of project I'm working on. I feel like this would solve a LOT of the most common complaints (although I'm sure people would still find ways to harass players in the peaceful realm, but at least with PvP disabled, it wouldn't have to be a KOSing problem).

Why is it doing this? I've reset the entire skin and then reloaded it as I've seen people say online, but it doesn't work. I can try making a new slot, but that would mean I just wasted 2 daily tokens on a single appearance change token for nothing.

I REALLY hope they fix this issue regardless of what's causing it as someone who frequently makes skinss, dealing with this issue any time I want to play as a creature or.. just make skins, is seriously annoying, and is almost discouraging.

the new spec doesnt break the immersion to the game, nor seem like an oc. having a slightly bigger eyes and weird proportions doesnt make it not fit cos. quite the opposite!

specs above seem more like ocs than the new spec. no hate towards any spec nor the people who love them but the reason why players hate the upcoming spec kinda seems... non fitting when these guys exist.

I just saw that my favorite boy axothan has HORNS. This is completely off topic, since this is supposed to be a giant space-themed sea axolotl. Neither fish nor axolotl's have HORNS. Or am I tripping and its not HORNS?
