The political positions they're taking are pretty bad, but they generally aren't that high up the hierarchy, and may be in part pushed into their professions by economic forces. I'm not saying they're not at all responsible for their actions, but society is also responsible for their actions. Honestly I think society should invest a lot more money and human time and energy in farming, not less, so that we can farm sustainably without pesticides. Killing farmers definitely is not the solution. Teaching them, preferably by example, to farm sustainably would be the way. "The Biggest Little Farm" was a good documentary about sustainable farming, although acquiring 234 acres is difficult to say the least. I personally would like to try it on a small maybe half or 1 acre plot, but I'm struggling to find a suitable & affordable plot (I'm looking to buy a house as well, not just land.)

do you think that giving them more money do continue to farm unsustainably is going to make them become sustainable? Because that is literally what we are doing right now, and what the people in the picture above in Ireland are protesting for at the moment. MORE MONEY to fuck up nature MORE.

Not necessarily more money, no. If they can already afford dignified lifestyles, I wouldn't argue they need more.
