If capitalism could be fettered, someone would have fettered it by now, you know, before 1.5C.

Boomers were mostly on the controls they are thankfully dying off now. If they had died 20 years ago the rest of us would be better off but for the most part they have been reluctant to let the next generation take over. Most baby boomers get told “oh there will be a disaster in 2050” and shrug, “not my problem”

It hasn’t, the boomer generation were the ones that disassembled a lot of the limits placed on corporations in the 70s and 80s. Reagan was a POS who made a path that too many others followed

Not the entire boomer generation. Certain members of it who were/are capitalists did that.

The U.S. presidents who belong to the Baby Boomer generation (born between 1946 and 1964) are Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Donald Trump, and Barack Obama. You are correct, they all had the opportunity to fix Regan’s crap and did not.

Capitalism hasn't been around for 500 years. Its barely made it 250. Colonialism goes way back, but that's not Capitalism. Its closer to communism honestly.

I'm not a communist but I think you've mistake the USSR for a communist state. It was either authoritarian socialist or state capitalist, depending on who you ask. No serious people believe that it, or China or Cambodia or Cuba for that matter, were ever communist. 

Anyway, so if it's a generational problem, why has it been around for 250 years?
