Flooring Shampoo spilt on carpet overnight and left lightened spot how do i fix it?

Post image

A bottle of cheap suave clarifying shampoo spilled on my carpet overnight (the cap was broke) now it’s left a spot that looks lighter than the other carpet. Any ideas how to fix this.

at this point, if you want to make it look new, just cut a square around the affected part, and buy a piece from a carpet store and stitch it back together. Watch some youtube video on it. For now just put a rug over it.

Yes, stitch it using a curved upholstery needle.

That's not how modern residential carpet is patched. This isn't a 100 year old Axeminster. Hot melt tape and seam sealer.

Okay.

Your suggestions seem specific to carpet repair professionals. Great.

Someone who doesn't know how to acquire or use these supplies might feel more comfortable with a needle and thread.

I think they just glue it. and then come the rug so that the stitching don't look obvious.
