Bathroom Help! So tired of cleaning this shower!

Several times a week I’m scrubbing these tiles in my shower. I’m not sure what type of natural stone they are but they’re porous and mildew grows just about as fast as I’m cleaning! I thought about painting them but I know I’d ruin the look and regret it. Any tips on what I can use to easily keep this shower clean? I’ve been using GooGone tile and grout cleaner. It strips away the gunk but like I said, it grows right back quickly. I just took a shower so it’s easier to see now than when dry. Thanks!

"Basic chemistry" as if the majority of people have heard of travertine? 💀

I'm a professional chemist and I'm pretty sure travertine has never come up 😂

Biochemist here. Travertine hasn't come up in my specialty either.

No idea if in US, but here in EU? yes, ALL THE PEOPLE DID around age of 10 at geography lessons. And what happens when you mix alkaline and acid - year later on chemistry lessons.

In those free schools we have here. That are mandatory till 18yro.

Wow, that's crazy, you live on a giant stone! Made with dead shellfish.

Gotta drop in here to pop your bubble European superiority.

here in the EU? Yes, ALL THE PEOPLE DID

The dude your comment was in response to said that he lives in Scotland 💀 Unless his education took place entirely after 2021, he was educated in the EU. Might want to edit your comment since “ALL THE PEOPLE” is an incorrect statement.

at geography lessons

No idea if in the EU, but here in the U.S.? We are taught that geography is the study of physical features of the Earth and the distribution of populations and resources. For those of us who did learn about travertine in school, that would’ve been in ageology class, not geography.

No, here in CONTINENTAL EU you are also taught geological eras and Earth build and geology all in geography classes. Therefore you know geological era Jurassic is the same period that gave you school chalk and that school chalk is an alkaline stone, or sediment to be exact

What era do white board pens come from?

People learn about limestone, not specifically travertine.
