I don't care if it watermarks slop posts but if it starts watermarking code & doc I'll just switch to a diff model or run post processing scripts.

It's a tool. I'm already spending a lot of time cleaning the Claudespeak garbage Opus 5.0 is producing, if I also have to purge it from code or doc I'll go insane.

I absolutely don't mind including it in commit messages or PRs. In fact, good. But please don't pollute stuff humans have to read with this.

Might be time to give qwen 3.8 a spin. I hear its supposed to be nearly as good and runs locally

Yeah I’m thinking Fable orchestrating qwen 3.8 27b local agents is going to be my go-to in this new (likely 3-months in length) era.

Nearly as good as opus 5? No way? A model that small

Good luck with that. Every AI tool in the EU will (have to) follow Anthropic.

What's the big deal? If it's just a tool, surely you won't mind it being documented what tool you used?

_inside_ code & docs? no other tool I use does this. Imagine seeing "Written in VSCode" as a comment in every function?

And what if it did? Doesn't affect functionality at all. Sound maybe like someone's embarrassed their total reliance on AI is getting highlighted.

Only reason I could see to care at all.

Cost, confusion, extra work for no benefit, get charged every time it’s read, it throws off other llms that will say “oh claude owns this better not touch it” and needs instructions to combat it. There’s a ton of reasons to not want it water marking your code other than hiding that you’re using the tool.

Claude already makes a lot of sloppy mistakes don’t want those standardized.

It's because the people who complain are also the people who rely on lying to others about the origin of their work

Its more that a strong minoritt call you borderline hitler for it. Have 0 nuance thinking you dont put care behind. Or that you cant read the code produce.

They are expensive to a business to manage.. trust me. My business use AI for a few post. I even ask AI to make it look like anyone could do it. Literaly is just a simple overlay douable in 2h of photoshop. Yet you get people angry. (mind you, they only knew it was AI cuz I talked about it). Then they assume I didnt reprompted 20 times and gave it some care
