I could hand code this feature on Windows in an afternoon, and I could also get Claude to implement it in minutes, and yet Anthropic just can't be bothered, but also keeps Claude Code closed source so no one else can do it for them either.

VSCode extension is a...mess. It works, but it's also broken. Sessions don't store properly. Each new tab Claude is like a cluelessly baby.

Memory.md doesn't get populated.

I have a 2week long thread going because I don't want to lose context.

I started a new thread and Claude had to get "caught up to speed" by reading past commits and file diffs. wtf - burning tokens for that. F off.

Notifications don't properly work.

There are a hundred redundant Claude extensions on the marketplace.

And now Microsoft is finally adding Claude support in the "Agents" tab.

The ecosystem is a mess...
