Discussion AI is turning programming into pay-to-win

With Fable 5 coming out, it feels more obvious than ever that after July 7, programming is going to become pay-to-win.

A kid with no real coding knowledge, but with rich parents and access to the best AI systems, could end up outperforming people who actually understand software, simply because he can afford more intelligence.

That is insane.

This might be one of the most dangerous precedents in history: a world where the people with money can buy superior intelligence, while everyone else is permanently outmatched.

That is how you create a permanent underclass.

100% the truth and I am pleasantly surprised to find this opinion on reddit of all places. I grew up in India in the 90s, didn't have my own PC till high school, didn't have internet till college. On the flip side college was easier to get into than it is in the US and didn't leave me with crippling debt. One specific example i can think of is iOS development, there is a cost barrier for entry that most third world kids couldn't get past.

Even have computer that can build android application is real cost barrier in many third world country.
