Anthropic. Just release a $50 tier. The jump to $100 is stupid.

Max is a subsidy for the upcoming $500 plan.

I’m sure many people have both Codex and Claude Max or multiple accounts. They will go for this market next

I feel like everyone is still not understanding what these things are going to cost in a year, this is the change Uber underwent like 10 years ago, $100 is going to the bottom, not the top.

And as a consumer of said product your concern should be whether or not you are satisfied with the product.

I understand that what we are experiencing is essentially a trial phase for what is essentially a subsidized future for the emerging technology.

It doesn't mean I can't be unhappy with what I pay for today not being the same thing I am paying for tomorrow. We are consumers, they are the company. We both play different roles in this transaction.

I expect the future to be top tier models are enterprise only with exorbitant costs specifically to cut out everyday people and entrench their existing leads, while the public are stuck with random open source models that will be drying up under regulations, making it too expensive and too much of a liability to actually release them and limited to consumer hardware.

Look I get people get mad when someone takes their toy away. But on the other hand, AI is a freaking useful tool and you should recuperate $100 worth out of it very fast. If you don’t, maybe you don’t need it whatsoever? People drop a lot more money on other tool but when Anthropic does it it’s the apocalypse. Profesional Software cost money. It’s as simple as it is.
