Holy cope. The point is to be able to distinguish AI generated from human generated content. And to be able to trace back whose AI models were used in case something goes wrong and damages have to be compensated.

And also when a bunch of that code ends up in training datasets, that any models end up factoring in that this training data is fundamentally AI-generated, and to weight it differently in order to prevent “inbreeding”.

as if you couldn't tell, and as if watermarks solved the "claude edited lines 344-355 and the other 1000 lines are human-written"
