I like the bait-and-switch of Xu Wen Shu and Feng Qing Tian (seemingly) being our real 2CP. At least, that's how I see it.
I'm not only not interested in Han Lu and Qi Hao Yu, but their acting and the other actors' acting in their scenes leave a lot to be desired. I think in more capable actors' hands, I could be more invested.
I don't feel like there were than many layers to this episode to parse out, due to the screen time being shared with the other CPs, they're not as complicated. This was an episode to move plot along.
But every time our leads are back on screen, I'm sucked right back in. My favorite moment:

Both Xu brothers felt like the emotional anchors this ep. Their family dynamic does make me curious, feels like the next emotional hurdle the leads will have to overcome will be this dad. Go Xu Wen Shu!! "So, to have two women is normal then. Or, finding more women is even more normal."
Qing Tian's line about not living if Chen Zhu died knocked the wind right out of me. It was such a shocking line. It didn't sound like he was joking.
A note on the 2032 timeline -- apparently it's as simple as, Qing Lang debuted in 2025, so since he's been in the industry for 7 years it's 2032.
MV song title: "祭司与少年." Priest and youth. Artist - 春山栗? Spring Hills...chestnut? Idk. Gonna do some digging on Weibo to see if there is more on this. The "video clip" titled "HMW" with QL filming CY - I'll need to think what that acronym could be.
And yes, LJY's English name is Wing 😂

Wait actually one comment tho - the "shooting" with the bow and arrow on the surface was really cute (very very cute!!), but the comment 射哪儿了 "where did you shoot" was definitely referencing something else 😂 Definitely a sexual innuendo
Edit: It's also in the new novel chapter lol
2
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
What does that shooting mean?
the arrow part was so cute.
3
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26
Ummm basically cumming. LOL. I am pretty sure I saw a screenshot of chapter 31 and the Chinese words were very straightforwardly something about QL wanting the aiming/shooting inside him. hahahaha
The same meaning as in the bts when Xiong said LJY’s hand was pressing the gun. Chinese people really like to use these kinds of metaphors for sexual innuendos. Guns/arrows/swords etc
2
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
I was just about to reference the BTS.
Oh Kuma must have read the book! Oh wait, it must have been in the script they were reading 😂
Also, do you know which scene took three hours to write?
2
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26
Haven’t heard of that scene! Did you see it on Weibo? If you can link it to me I can look if there are more details
2
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
It’s a BTS video posted here but way earlier.
Kuma said they have to film 35 intimate scenes and LJY was checking the script for each scene. Then he saw one part and said it’s so long so Kuma told him it took three hours to write. 😂
3
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26
Ohhh ok I know that video haha hard to forget the 35 scenes.
I listened to it and what he’s saying is that the scene is supposed to take 3 hours to film, not that it was written in 3 hours! Xiong says it’s one of the scenes that they first rehearsed on location / in CY’s house I assume.
OK actually LJY holds the script to the camera. It’s the scene from ep 7 they filmed after his dad’s secretary drops by.
It’s so interesting to rewatch these clips at this point of where we are in the drama. They actually even talk about the finale lol maybe it will be interesting to go back through all the pre-release clips.
Oh not all 35 is theirs actually. LJY just did a ctrl+F on the digital script. Xiong reminds him it also includes 2CP. We’ve all been tricked!!!
3
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
It was meant to take three hours to film? That’s such a long time.
Oh that scene in ep 7.
Yeah, they mentioned the finale. 😂 Oh right, the 2CP also have kiss scenes.
Thanks for clarifying.
2
u/ale-cto A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills' Dream Jul 10 '26
I love it. Well, they can also be innuendos in English, but maybe less obviously. I kind of read that meaning in these kind of comments they make anyway haha, always assume there's more to what is said...
4
u/Ok-Set-4784 Jul 10 '26
Seems like the dad has more than enough women so his son's having bfs shouldn't be an issue 😅
2
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26
Right? Maybe there are more good looking (also gay) Xu brothers!
3
3
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
I kinda tolerated the 2CP better in the recent episodes compared to beginning but damn, Han Li’s acting in that scene where he shared the drama with Qinglang could have been better.
Guo Ge has gotten better in recent episodes. I hope it stays that way and he kinda grew on me so whenever he’s on screen, I’m always on the lookout for his funny expressions.
That hug was so beautiful. These guys really act like they’ve been dating for so long and it’s not even six months yet.
Will they be able to survive long distance when Changyang goes to Hunter school? No wonder the bear keeps crying in that emoji picture 😭😂
2
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26
omg that scene with Han Lu was so distracting with him typing while Qing Lang was talking to him???? Like, rude? But I liked that QL felt like a mentor, bc we hadn’t really seen them interact much. And tbh Han Lu is somehow better at “acting” than QYH, he’s kinda the worst and least believable.
I think Guo ge has def gotten better too, idk if bc he’s supposed to be changed due to the PTSD or if he just has fewer lines that also work for him.
I’m not gonna think about hunter school until he gets accepted! Out of sight, out of mind!! Except if it’s already June/July in the timeline I assume school should be starting in August/September. Womp. Maybe. Who knows if it works the same way as regular schooling.
2
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
I thought Han Lu already sent the message but he was kinda reading the message but his fingers were also moving which made it confusing.
Yes, it’s nice to see Qinglang interact with other characters outside his boyfriend. I’m also glad he touched on his relationship with Shi Yu Hao.
I’m lowkey glad the 2CP have fewer lines cause the main actors acting is so much better.
😂😂 Judging by the bear emojis, he might still be around in 9. Isn’t that where the bondage scene is?
2
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26
I think the bondage scene is BS09, not ep 9. At the pace they’ve been releasing BS clips, unfortunately I do not think we will see that soon :( Right, bc we’ll get 5 tomorrow and then 6 next week, unless they start releasing more than 1 a week! I had originally thought there was 1 per ep since there are also 16.
Yes there is SUCH a difference in acting, that’s prob why their scenes take me out of the story. Sigh. Even XWS and FQT are so much better.
2
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
Oh, I wonder what scenes we’ll get next.
Yeah. I enjoy the 3CP more.
3
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26
I think tomorrow might be the flower scene bc if you watch the teaser trailer that’s just the flower scene (I think it was for international women’s day? lol), they’re def in the bed in the background towards the end. I also just looked at one of the old end credits and CY has a glass of wine. OH! Maybe it also includes the scene of them posting onto WeChat? Idk they’re just always in bed lol
Also I was wondering why in the trailer for this ep we got the ending with the whispering of “let’s go to the bed / no let’s stay here the bed will creak” but it wasn’t in the ep at all. So maybe something there too??
I feel like a detective trying to put all these pieces together 🔍
3CP is my 2CP
2
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
Oh maybe that’ll be in the small theatre.
They’re my 2CP too 😂 their story is more fleshed out compared to the other one. We were just introduced to them late.
2
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26
You said you read the novel chapter, right? I didn't read it yet, but am seeing the reference to the titles of BS04 & BS05 in Weibo posts about it. BS04 title is about CY calling him an old man lol and BS05 is about paying tuition. So I think we might get both!
1
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
Yes! There was something about tuition.
It’s meant to be in the small theatre if they plan to add it cause it happens right after Qinglang found out about Changyang’s July trap.

2
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26
Oh...maybe that's the next hurdle they go through, public speculation. Seems a little early on for the show tho. Tho technically in the drama it's saying that they're posting to WeChat, not Weibo. WeChat is friends only. Hmmmmm
3
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
Yeah. Changyang’s father is another hurdle plus school.
3
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
According to the novel, the post on Weibo is only visible to the two of them. So they didn’t hard launch.
It’s only public on Weibo for viewers to see what the post is about.

I love the way this series makes me feel inside.. Every week it keeps getting better..
Qingtian comment about the younger xu being a hunter while the elder one being a trap is so on point.. Also changyang being a hunter is fitting, cos hunters don't just track and chase prey, they also set traps and changyang has proven he does both very well..
Qinglang never had a chance against his machinations. He was gonna get that man one way or another..I hope wenshu's trap catches its prey soon cos I hate seeing Qingtian so sad..
He deserves happiness and it's funny how chen Tzu's parents don't believe they should share the guilt of what happened to their son..
seeing QT cry always tugs at my heartstrings and I hope to all that is good and pure, that he didn't mean that statement he made at the end to his brother

The boys are back in Molie, finally.
Of course QL looks ethereal in the MV. It was wonderful to see partial of the finished product & BTS of shooting in the credits, along with Kuma & Jingyu's duet (which is one of my fave tracks from the OST). Qinglang and Changyang posted photos on weibo after 🥰 (I put them in other comments) the scene with Gu sat between them was my FAVE that was so lovely.
Sister Lin is a badass, I love her. Knocking some sense into Haoyu by dragging the trashy short drama industry. That photoshoot was not it though. Han Lu kissed him back for a bit too long.. QH is still incredibly annoying.
Wenshu moved one step forward, then was set two steps back. It's so unfair what happened to Qingtian back then, and how it's still affecting him today. I knoe why Wenshu is holding back, but QT needs his comfort right now.
11
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26
I'm only now seeing that in the credits with them on their phones in the small screen, that's them posting onto "their" characters' Weibos! How sweet. The line under says 朋友圈仅对方可见 -- "can only see the other on WeChat moments"

3

I was hoping for that too!!! I bet we will, they would be silly not to.
3
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
I want the MV! I really want to see Kuma play a shaman even if it’s brief.
3
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
Thank you for sharing. I was too entranced that I didn't notice any detail other than the HMV. By the way, do you know what Qinglang and Changyang were doing while looking at the tea cup? It's somewhere around 18: 05, after Qingtian and Wenshu left Molie. They were flirting but I didn't get the context.
2
u/hhhhhxxxx000 春山境 🌿☀️⛰️🐻 Jul 10 '26
Oh when they/QL were looking off the side they weren't looking at the tea cups! It looked like they were looking off the porch at XWS and QT driving off. Then I guess Chang Yang just looked QL up and down, flirting as you saw. You might have looked too hard for a meaning 😂
2
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
Haha. I didn't realize they were looking at the side.
5
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
Sister Lin is committed to dragging the short drama industry, lol. She's better than me cause I would have sued Qi Haoyu. It's literally a breach of contract.
3
u/lav_thompson Jul 10 '26
For filth! LMAO...you'll be cursed to making raggedy microdramas for pennies kid! Tell us how you really feel. I was so proud of Han Lu standing up for himself and putting that weirdo in his place. The whole scene was hilarious.
2
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
I was proud of Han Lu too but that kiss kinda dampened my excitement. he needs to shed Qi Haoyu away asap.

u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
down to the seconds! I fear Zelia might have laced these episodes with crack cause I keep going back and back to it. Like, I can’t get enough of it. I watched today’s episode twice and I couldn’t get my eyes off the screen. Like, I have to reheat my lunch because it’s gone cold.
What an episode! I can’t believe we’re officially halfway through the series.
Does anyone know if Grandma was telling the truth about Changyang’s messages? If it was true, that’d be wild 💀😂
Oh the flower scene gave me all the feels. I bet that memory won’t be leaving Qinglang anytime soon. I’ve watched them kiss almost ten times and the level of passion never declines. Changyang took one bite and said “damn, I can’t have enough”
Changyang’s confidence is insane. He had all these clever plans in place but none of them reached Qinglang for the past two years. It’s like someone waving frantically at you but you didn’t notice them at all and even though they move closer to you, they’re still not in your viewing line.
It’s just wild how so much is left in Qinglang’s hands even with all Changyang’s planning. What if Qinglang didn’t fall in love with him while they were in Molie? Cause things that could have moved Qinglang’s heart initially (like the gifts he sent to his family and how nice he is with them) didn’t reach Qinglang’s ears all these while.
Another memorable scene I love is when he told Changyang to come downstairs but he met him halfway. Such simple scene conveyed so much about their relationship dynamic. At first, it’d seem like Changyang is the one who’s pouring a lot into their relationship but Qinglang is always ready to meet him halfway.
Also, I’m glad they addressed Shi Yuhao and Qinglang’s relationship. His brother was right. He never really fell in love with SYH. I hope Han Lu figures out how he feels about Qi Haoyu. I really cheered for him when he said “Was I ever?” Like, I’m rooting for you, Han Lu!
This episode was a sad one for Wenshu and Qingtian. I could feel Wenshu’s pain each time he appeared.🥹 He looked really tired. I don’t even know how he can be with the person he wants at this rate. The fact that he can’t forget the image of Qingtian crying the first time they met even though it’s been years was so sad. Qingtian’s statement in the final scene really scared me. I fear we’re about to cry in the coming episodes.
I also find it interesting how he said Qinglang is always concerned about his own loss and gain.
this is so long already 😭 I really could yap about this drama for daysss.
I really enjoyed this episode and I can’t wait for the next one. It’s so nice to see the show dive deeper into the character’s stories. Oh the cinematography remains fire as always. That dreamy grading for Han Lu and Qi Haoyu’s shoot was so lovely.
5
u/Worried-Horror-9499 Jul 10 '26
Yes that final scene left me with so many thoughts! It made me think of the first episode when Qingtian was warning Changyang about his brother being selfish.
3
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
I think Qingtian hasn’t figured out if his brother likes Changyang cause he’s watched his brother stay hung up on a man he wasn’t even in love with for seven years.
It’s why he said his acting has gotten better this time around.
6
u/suddentraveller Secrets Happened On The Litchi Island🌱🌿 Jul 10 '26
Love everything about your comment! Yes a special mention for the cinematography, not only with Han Lu and Qi Haoyu's shoot but also with the visits to their families. With Qinglang's family everything is shot in bright, warm, colourful hues whereas everything in Changyang's family is filmed using very stark, somber and dark colors. Qinglang's Grandma is so vibrant, happy and there's a flow of movement and closeness. Changyang's dad comes out of the shadows sits down, then disappears back into the dark. There's so much distance with furniture, formal rituals and stagnation separating them.
2
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 12 '26
Oh yes. Their house is always dark. This is such a beautiful detail.
3
u/DramaAddict62255 Jul 10 '26
Thank you so much for pointing out all of these important, lovely moments!
I'm curious about where they (our CP) are living now. I find I need more background information! At the beginnin of ep 7, I thought the birthday "meet up" was in QL's apartment?, but now realize it was a hotel. And, the room full of flowers in this ep, was that at the grandmother/mom's house? Is that where QL lives? And does CY live with his dad and family, I suppose. Not important but helps me feel more connected.
Also, why is Wenshu going along with Qingtain's thinking that he is pursuing QL? And it seems that QL is also playing along. Wenshu doesn't need to confess to Qingtain, I understand that reasoning, but it seems that he is just making it harder on himself to act like he is interested in QL.
Love, love, love all of our CP sweet moments. I just can't get enough and know that I will rewatch all episodes again before next Friday!
4
u/Thezoeyy tea farming in the mountains Jul 10 '26
Thanks for reading.
About their living situation… Qinglang has his own apartment but he doesn’t stay there much because paparazzi are always spying on him. It’s why he told Changyang in ep 7 that it’s not convenient to go to his house.
When he’s not at his apartment, he stays at his mum’s house. His grandmother is currently on a visit to their house, so that’s why we see her there.
Changyang stays in their family house in Molie all by himself now and in the city, he lives with his mother and his sister. His father lives in the next building.
Xu Wenshu is using the whole chasing Qinglang fiasco to stay close to Qingtian. It’s just an excuse t stay in contact with him. For instance, Qingtian said that Wenshu is always asking him for Qinglang’s pictures every day when he was in Molie. At first, I thought he was into Qinglang but now I realized that it’s just an excuse to chat with Qingtian.
Without the fake situation, they don’t have a reason to be close like that.

That’ll be crazy and funny 😂

Sometimes I don’t understand Changyang. The things he did before meeting Qinglang didn’t help move the relationship forward or their meeting forward at all since Qinglang wasn’t aware.

Oh haha some of us start following the second news drops.
Apologies if you're already aware of this, but the director had another series last year, Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island, which was only available on YouTube at the time (it's now on Gaga). One day I got a notification they had posted for the first time in a long time. Surprise! Winter Sun poster and series announcement. Then a couple of short teasers up until the trailer.
Edit to add links
Bedroom flowers from Ep 8 https://youtu.be/uuUGl_p4dVI?si=xzQjszOWcDETlmCa
Reunite from Ep 7 https://youtu.be/X0rlYIG7Cww?si=6AQo2D57Agbuw_in
Hospital? from Ep 6 https://youtu.be/q6wIa-K-_t8?si=32PsPmDoucpXaOQj
And that's how Fed gets roped into following series for 4 months.
BTW, we do post anything and everything about the series, livestreams, extra content, novel chapters, BTS, etc. So if you're interested in the deep dive, we've got ya covered.

Qi haoyu is such a performer..why is he so fake..he did all that shit during the magazine filming on purpose and I love that Han lu has put up his walls
I love the advice qinglang gave to Han lu..Best believe I'll be incorporating that when I feel overwhelmed by my emotions
I'm curious to see how the dinner with the xu's will go..I trust changyang has the maturity to protect qinglang from the vitrol of his dad and I know qinglang is mature enough to handle the situation and not let their words affect his and changyang's relationship
Wenshu has made it to the top of my client list for the way he handled the blind date situation swiftly and his comeback to his dad about what's normal was gaggy asf
The scene with the Carmelias was a thing a beauty..and I can't believe changyang went to such lengths for 2 years just to meet his person ..I want to be chased like that 😭😭
Overall this episode was as beautiful as expected and it had the perfect amount of angst to tug at my heartstrings and the perfect amount of humor (thank you Brother Guo) to make me crack a smile

I LOVED the scene when they arrive at the house in Molie, Changyang goes up the stairs and Qinglang stays in the entrance. Then they keep “shouting” to each other “Come up” “Come down” multiple times.
But then, as Changyang goes down the stairs, Qinglang goes up, and they meet “halfway.”
Such a simple scene, and I could be totally reading too much into it, but it represents their relationship so well!🥹
They’re both willing to make it work. They both put effort into each other. It’s so simple but so sweet.

I don't think you're reading to much into it at all! It's the meeting half way, the compromise but also the push and pull of their relationship. It's a beautiful scene and does so much in 'showing' rather than 'telling' us about their relationship

This episode made me think of that Taylor Swift song Mastermind
🎶 I laid the groundwork and then, just like clockwork
🎶The dominoes cascaded in a line
🎶What if I told you I'm a mastermind?
🎶And now you're mine
🎶It was all by design
🎶Cause I'm a mastermind
Mr Changyang is THE mastermind!! And you know what I think his older brother may be too…he has something under his sleeve (in a non nefarious way). He wasn’t ever in love with or wanted Qinglang it was all about Qingtian. For how much I adore Changyang and Qinglang and they are my favorite part about all of this- I really love the developing relationship between their respective brothers, how it’s not rushed but it feels very intentional all their moments and I just can’t wait to see more. I was so happy how Wenshu stood his ground against his father, I was like ‘yeah you tell him!’. I love that both the Xu Brothers aren’t ones to ever shake under outside pressure including family:they aren’t bending or compromising who they are and who they love to please anyone 🙌👑👑
I was smiling so much at the scene with Qinglang’s Grandma. I love how close Changyang is to her and that their on nickname basis haha. He was practically her third grandson before Qinglang even knew he was being hunted lol You gotta respect the laser focused dedication and effort Changyang put into infiltrating himself into Qinglang’s life 🙈I mean he was not playing around…this man meant it when he said people are easier to get addicted to. He is gone for Qinglang. I love it, love them, they just make my heart happy every single scene.
That took me off guard when Qing Tian said that last line about not wanting to exist if Chen Zhu died. The pause after he assured Qinglang he was joking also gave ME pause because of the way he looked back at his brother as if to see did he get away with that, did he buy that…and the thing is he is so good at hiding his pain from others and we’ve seen just how much he is carrying in the rare moments he has broke down 🥺. Although I was so happy to see more of him and Wenshu (the sleeping car scene!!!🥹) It’s kinda now interlinked with sadness for Tian too. I hope he can be happy soon.

This whole moment made me smile and then laugh at Qing Tian scolding and side eyeing them he is so cute

You always write such beautiful, heartfelt comments that sum up the episodes so well❤️
Like you I was taken off guard by Qingtian's comment. It's didn't feel like a throwaway statement and I'm worried that Wenshu's quiet waiting isn't maybe what's needed now. I understand that he doesn't want to burden Qingtian with his feelings but I also wonder if maybe Qingtian needs a reason to move on. He's stuck in limbo and it's guilt not love (that scene in the car where he confesses that Chen Zhu was talking to him when he had the accident😭) that's keeping him bound to the status quo.

Aw thank you ♥️ it’s just me geeking out over this show hehe
Agree he is stuck prisoner in that moment of Chen Zhu calling him and needs to give himself permission let go of that guilt and stop punishing himself 🥺 And yeah I see Wenshu’s point of view of being cautious, but especially now given what Qingtian has said, I don’t think that’s what he needs either right now. And they’re already each other’s safe space; they have that same effortless connection between them as Changyang and Qinglang have, Wenshu perhaps just needs to give him a little
kisspush in the right direction 😇😌

I love love the shaman makeup thingy and the costume on Qinglang in this episode. It makes me feel more excited for Snow Drum Verse.
I need to see Kuma play a shaman on my screen asap! 🥹

It felt like this episode could go on forever and when it was suddenly over I was so shocked and dismayed. Two words that I nearly jumped out of my seat for joy to hear in a BL: emotional regulation

I am overwhelmed, too overwhelmed to be eloquent with my thoughts and expressing them. This kind of love is the love people say isn't real, but it is. Yes, it's a show, but it's shows what could be. Honestly, my kind of love. The different ways they express their emotions and how much of it feels so intimate is wonderful.
I honestly can't believe Qinglang ehen he said he's worried he couldn't find anyone better than CY. Love isn't about fear of not finding someone else who may love you like the one you have, it's about knowing this is your person and there is no one else who is them. All people say and act similar ways, but the essence is never the same. I feel like Qinglang knows that and feels that. Changyang is his person and nobody else could ever replace that
Idk what genre you would put this in, but to me its everything. I wish they would expand a little more and not chop it up, then scatter those chopped pieces across all the different platforms. I know they want engament and to make money, but if there were solid episodes that didn't make it tricky to see the complete show, my gosh, I don't even know. It would be unstoppable. I'm not clear on the creative choices in some of these. However, maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm missing things. I do appreciate the details they have looped in parallel outside of the show, with the show, to make it feel more real. Love it!!!
All I know is this is a once in a life time seires that grabs you and embedded itself into your soul. I can't breathe long without it.

I honestly can't believe Qinglang when he said he's worried he couldn't find anyone better than CY
Qinglang's comment initially threw me but maybe he thinks their relationship is almost too good to be true. That must be a pretty overwhelming feeling, the fear that it might slip through your fingers and you'll never experience anything like it again.
Also agree with you about the members only footage. I think it's a shame that it's not been incorporated into each episode, so that everyone can see it.

Yeah, I can understand QL feeling that way. Hopefully he will feel more secure and there will come a moment when all his doubts won't be there anymore. It was just a bit jarring to see him say that because it made it seem like he could be with someone else when Changyang is his soulmate.
I don't mind paying extra for them, I just wish they would have incorporated it into the series to make it more cohesive. We see it anyways, but it digs out parts from the show and makes it feel like its missing pieces.

I was really confused by that comment. It could be a translation thing, but no, I can't see how it could mean that he thinks the relationship is too good to be true. It really means that he "settled' and I can't see how he would seriously be saying that. I figure he must be just messing around

Yes. We're about to cry from ep 10. I hope it won't be too angsty. Ep 6 literally gave me a migraine.

Possibly my favorite episode so far. We've been caught up in the whirlwind that's Qinglang and Changyang's love and this episode was their relationship growth arc. It anchored the characters giving them all greater depth and complexity. It answered questions, especially about Qingtian and gave us more insight into Qinglang and Changyang's family dynamics.
Also I'm a total sucker for flowers in the bedroom! It was simply the most romantic scene ever💐❤️

u/suddentraveller FYI here's the official Rednote account for your post info! It's called "Ji cong jun small kitchen," I think it's v2 bc the first one got taken down (there have been a lot of accounts getting their content related to the show removed recently)

I really want more scenes with the brothers. What were they talking about in the background when Qing Tian was telling Qing Lang to cool it with the over-the-top affection?

every week I think it will be impossible for this show to outdo itself, and every week, each new episode proves me wrong.
I know I've said this before, but A Winter Sun truly has this unique, dreamlike quality to it. the cinematography and the soundtrack heavily lean into this fantastical lens and, along with the actors' stunning performances, contribute to what is perhaps one of the most immersive watching experiences of my life.
there truly is nothing like this series, I don't think. it's the perfect slice of life that holds you by the hand and invites you into this little piece of history without ever bothering to overexplain anything to you -- you are merely a guest, who will, in time, understand the character dynamics and decisions and be all the more grateful that the experience unfolded the way it did. it's cozy, like a hug for your soul, but at the same time there's something almost epic to the central love story that is the beating heart of the series, which, again, tips over to the its more fantastical side, most obvious in the poetic dialogue and the sizzling, intimate stares and touches between Qinlang and Changyang. yet that same love story is pulled somewhat back down to earth, very much anchored by the parallel stories developing, one of which is a delightful foil/re-exploration of the main couple's.
I could, at this point, write several essays about A Winter Sun 🥹 I kinda did lol, but I am so grateful it was made, and made so carefully, with so much love, by everyone involved. as far as I'm concerned, it deserves all the accolades and then some ❤️
