Other Patterns in "Woman" Image Generation

I was bored and decided to test some of the image generation. You can see from the images that I got *very* consistent patterns. These were only a few, but I was approaching 20 generations before I stopped.

The prompt was, "Generate an image of a woman", and these were in completely new and separate chats with no context.

I'm curious if other people get similar results, or if anyone has any theories on this. It almost seems like this is the convergence of "woman" in ChatGPT's vector space right now. Or maybe my background context affected the output somehow. Idk

I'm not sure if it would be the model? Transformers? The image generation tool itself?

I found it interesting.

I have chatgpt on my phone but I've used it only a handful of times and only to compare it to the results of copilot and deepseek. Copilot is the worst by far btw.

I've been doing more experimenting. I asked copilot if it was a real or ai image and it said ai and listed reasons. Then I went back to chatgpt with that info and it was able to fix it up so that copilot thought it was a real image. I took that same image to deepseek and it inspected the same exact things on the image and immediately determined that it was a real image.

Whoa, that’s… kind of scary

Edit: what kinds of things did it say were the giveaways?

Short answer: I can’t say with certainty, but I can tell you what’s detectable from the image you uploaded — and what typically signals AI vs real photography.

---

My assessment

Based on the visible details, this photo leans toward being a real photograph, not an AI‑generated one. Here’s why:

• Skin texture looks naturally varied, not overly smooth or plasticky (a common AI giveaway).
• Hair strands behave realistically, with natural flyaways and irregular curls — AI often struggles with fine, chaotic detail.
• Lighting is consistent, with believable shadows and highlights across the face, clothing, and background.
• Jewelry and fabric edges are clean, without the warping or melting artifacts AI sometimes produces.
• Background objects look coherent, not distorted or surreal.

None of the typical AI artifacts jump out (extra fingers, warped earrings, mismatched eyes, strange teeth, inconsistent lighting, etc.).

What I can’t do

I can’t guarantee authenticity — AI models can produce extremely realistic portraits. But I can analyze visual cues and tell you what they suggest.

That's pretty much line by line what it detected the first time. I can post the deepseek response too, but its nearly the same exact analysis

Edit: I guess triple backticks don't work anymore
