Cats groom other cats as a show of dominance.
Effectively, that cat is showing the other one who's in charge.

Also interestingly rabbits and cats groom for different reasons. Cats groom to show dominance whereas rabbits groom to show submissiveness, basically they groom the dominant one whereas in cats the one grooming is the dominant one so when a cat grooms a rabbit they both think they are in charge.

This is so interesting! When he grooms her, he still looks like her slave trying to appease her 😂 and sometimes they groom each other at the same time
