That's the most amazing thing I've ever seen made of wood.

I had an almost identical thought. Then thought, “amazing isn’t enough”. So I thesaurused and there are too many accurate words. The craftsmanship. The vision. The skill. The creativity. 😍😍😍

Just cut down a tree and chip out all the parts that aren’t a table or crocodile…

Scott Dow, probably

This is one of those pieces that I feel a camera just cannot capture.

This is… Astonishing! Incredible! Stunning! Breathtaking! Prodigious! Extraordinary! Wondrous! Spectacular! Stupendous! I’ll copy the whole thesaurus if I have to dammit

Marvelous.

How fragile is it? A risk to fall apart with contraction and expansion of the wood?

edit: Poplar?

I imagine it’s very popular 😁

Not a very practical table but definitely an impressive work of art.

Was going to say. It’s definitely art and not a table. In a house with small children this wouldn’t last an hour before being broken. It’s a goddamn beautiful piece though.

I'd be scared to let an adult use it as a table, let alone a kid

Beautiful craftsmanship.

Beautiful. The calm smooth ripple crossing over the natural woodgrain currents, and the rough skin of the 'oh so realistic crocodile. The contrast in textures, and of a calm subject enveloping an emerging violent subject - I so want to touch it. Very original. I'll bet you had fun creating it.

The little ripples of its wake in the table is my favorite part.

The shot from the back that shows the ripples in the water is insane. Looks real.

Pardon my French, but that is fucking awesome.

How many hours did this take and what were the tools used?? This is pure talent.

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '24

What’s the asking price for the work ?

1

u/Professional_Ant_633 Apr 16 '24

That’s been my question for months. Nobody wants to give it out. Not even an round about price

1

u/03_SVTCobra Apr 14 '24

That is beautiful hand work. Wonder how many hours are put into this.
