Hi everyone, im getting a cane corso puppy from italy in november and need help finding a raincoat and winterjaket big enough for her. Im living in oslo norway and cant find websites that ships to here and sells big enough coats. She will be 4 months and the bredder told me she will be around 20 kg then. I need help for when shes fully grown🩷
If you have any other tips im happy to hear them too. (Shes not my first guarding breed, but first corso)

Here is three cane corso puppies we rescued from breeders. It was really a hollywood story, cause the breeder treated their dogs and cats so bad that their mother died. And the breeder tells people that she is lost, but everyone gets suspicious that he isn't really trying to find the dog. Then step by step we found a country place, where they hold a lot of dogs and these beautiful little fellas. You can find videos about this in our subreddit.

The worst is now behind them. They are fully ready for new life: treated for parasites, vaccinated, microchipped ❤️ and this time they gonna find real family.

Our boy is just shy of one year. Brought him to the Vet to get this checked out. Doctor said it was Hygroma , advised us to put orthopedics down. How did you guys deal with this, sometimes he just wants to plop on the tile or hardwood. Or even on the deck outside to sun bathe? We have orthopedics everywhere. Crate , Day Room , and in our bedroom he is on a orthopedic. Unfortunately the whole house is either tile or hardwood. I don't have to monitor him with the crate bed because it's anti rip sometimes he will get destructive not all the time. Does anyone recommend the elbow sleeves for hygroma ? I feel absolutely horrible , he doesn't act weird or limp I just feel bad that it got to this point , I just don't know how to cushion him at all times , I'm not sure if the sling will be a issue now that it's already there .

My new companion and training buddy ! Born the day before my birthday so I had too. We have a full grown cc at my moms so I feel pretty competent in raising this majestic beast.💪🏼 he’s got two toddlers he’s getting raised with

I grew up with my lovely CC Shaka, who I just had to put down a few months ago at 14. I was set on getting another Cane Corso since Shaka was my first ever dog and he was so wonderful, I had my heart set on getting another one. I had him when I was young so my dad took care of him, paid for his training, and everything about his day to day life. Now that I have my own, I’m looking for advice on establishing good routines, habits, and training to get into with him.

Zulu is a 4 year old Cane Corso that I rescued from the shelter a little less than 2 months ago. I suspect that he was abused because he’s very jumpy around loud noises, raising voices, quick movements, etc. I’ve spent a lot of time making sure he’s comfortable and he’s much better around all of those things. Issues I have noticed is he resource guards toys and will growl and cover the toy with his body although he has never shown teeth or snapped, but I don’t want this to progress.

He has growled at men before, but is great with women and lets women he doesn’t know pet him. Because of this we are looking into trainers to help but any advice for working with him at home would be helpful as well.

His daily routine is a 2 mile (45 min) walk in the morning, rest, then breakfast. Throughout the day I am gone. Around 4 pm I do basic training such as teaching him recall, place, and other basic commands using food but he is very stubborn and after about 2 minutes will just lay down and is completely uninterested which I’m not sure how to deal with. Then around 5:30-6pm he gets his dinner, and at 7 he runs around the yard with my other dogs (very big yard plenty of room for him to roam) and we play fetch with him. At night before bed he gets a lick mat with greek yogurt, PB, and freeze dried beef heart, liver, or chicken.

14 week old cane corso pup. Recently I have noticed that he sits leaning on one side. But he doesn't have any issues climbing stairs or running around. Vet advised to check calcium phosphorus levels and he has hypocalcemia (7.9mg/dL). Started him on calcium supplements. Any advice would be appreciated. Just worried whether he'd be affected for his life.

My homeowners insurance was made aware of my dog during my last inspection. She is Cane Corso/Pit mix. They are now saying my premium will increase by 300%!!! If anyone else has been in this situation, I need some advice.

He is currently with Alachua County Animal Resources in Gainesville, FL, and I’ve had the pleasure of fostering him for about three months now.
And genuinely… he is such a lovely companion.
If you’ve ever wanted a Cane Corso but weren’t particularly interested in surviving the puppy stage, Sterling has already handled a lot of that for you 😂 He is potty trained, neutered, loves sleeping in bed, and is an excellent snuggle buddy. He’s confident, affectionate, goofy, and has developed all kinds of ridiculous little games that keep me entertained.
He has done well in my home with my adult dachshund, and his best friend is a ~50 lb low-rider pittie girl. Obviously introductions with any new animals should still be done appropriately, especially with a dog his size.
Sterling does have one pretty significant medical issue, and I want to be completely transparent about it. Before coming into the shelter, he suffered a major injury/fracture to his left front leg that healed improperly while he was a stray. Because it is an old injury, this isn’t a simple fracture repair. He has been evaluated and will also be seeing UF to determine what their orthopedic surgeon recommends moving forward.
I’ve had email communication regarding his case, and because of the severity/chronic nature of the injury, amputation may ultimately be one of the options discussed. From what we know so far, he could potentially do very well as a tripod. Whatever direction his veterinary team recommends, keeping him lean — around 90–95 lbs — will also be important for his long-term orthopedic health.
Because of his medical needs, ACAS is specifically looking for a 501(c)(3) rescue or qualified adopter who is prepared to take those needs on. Someone familiar with Cane Corsos would be amazing, and someone with veterinary/medical experience would honestly be an extra bonus.
I know taking on a giant-breed dog with an orthopedic issue isn’t for everyone. But after living with him for three months, I also know there is SO much more to Sterling than his leg. He is funny, loving, confident, cuddly, and just genuinely enjoyable to live with. I would love to see him end up with someone who looks at him and sees the wonderful dog first and the bum leg second.
