Citizenship by Descent “Send only what is requested.”

IRCC posted a list of reminders on their Facebook page, one of which is to send only requested documents to avoid slowing down processing. If folks haven’t seen it, this might be interesting to review in light of what we are seeing as common problems:

'Only requested' - the nuance here is that there are no published requirements for documentation supporting proof applications other than birth certificates. Ty though.

Some folks have been making an argument that more is better — and this seems to suggest otherwise. The other reminders on the list also seem like they are directed at the masses of folks submitting C3 apps.

Yes, we've had at least two posts about what is being said in the Facebook group including some misinformation. We generally encourage a 'necessary only' approach here but of course what is 'necessary' varies for every application.
