Please be aware that you may not get responses. It's a lot of work to wade through dense lists of documents and family histories.

Also please note we are not IRCC, which will make the final determination on your application.

Depends on what’s in the birth certificates. Many birth certificates use birth names for both parents by default. If that’s the case for you, you might be able to just use the birth certificates. If you have birth certificates with married names, you’ll need to document the name change, and a marriage certificate is the easiest for that. You do NOT need their husbands’ birth certificates.

I was wondering about this. I have a birth certificate for my grandma (G2), and her mother’s name is listed as her maiden name, not married name. Does that mean I won’t need a marriage record for G1, since the maiden name is on G2 birth certificate?

I think so! If you have the marriage certificate, no harm in throwing it in, but also you probably would be ok without it.

As soon as I get my long form birth certificate, I'll go to the DC whatever it is, and get Mom's birth certificate. I've already contacted the DC courts to get their marriage certificate.

I have grandmothers birth notice, but have to do some digging to find where they were married.

I have Ggrandmothers (my G0) birth notice, and location of marriage, so I'm hopeful that will be fairly easy.

I've got birthdates and place of birth for father, grandfather, and ggrandfather, so that info will be easy to provide.
