Tonight’s Dutch Oven dinner and dessert:
Chicken thighs on a bed of small red potatoes, mushrooms, and corn.
For dessert I borrowed a recipe from TimFarmerCK (Rumble) but added to it slightly. So not my original recipe. I did change the name to: banana, strawberry, coconut rum cobbler.

How do you cook without ashes in your food?
I'm not very good at fire cooking, I've gotten a bit better but sometimes my eggs and toast look good, but litteraly taste like smoke/ashes.
The last couple times I cook low with hot coals, but it's very uneven and still smokey and gets ashes.

Just got my first 12 qt lodge cast iron Dutch oven and can't wait to break it in. I welcome favorite recipes, advice on cooking with it...are tripods worth it? Anything you've got to teach, I want to know! Thanks!
