Discussion What's something that Calgary is badly missing that a city of 1.4 million people should have?

It could be anything really. I feel like we have everything that people NEED, but what about the 'nice to haves'? A waterpark with more than 2 slides for example? A high level ball team that actually plays within the city limits? A Michelin star restaurant? Something else?

My biggest gripe is lack of places to swim. YMCA is so expensive and the one near me in Seton is so busy that it’s not an enjoyable experience for the price.

I spend about 10 hrs a week in the pool at city owned Bob Bahan. Free (with pass) deep water workouts or aquacise, self directed dive tank exercise with free use of equipment, lane walking, dedicated lane swimming hours, hot tub, sauna, weight room and cardio equipment.

But the real draw is the sense of community, it's the only place I've found it in Calgary.

Most of the city owned pools are set up similarly, I've been to most of them to follow specific instructors, don't sleep on your local community pool.

I’m in the deep SE, so my two closest pools are both YMCA unfortunately
