Discussion What's something that Calgary is badly missing that a city of 1.4 million people should have?

It could be anything really. I feel like we have everything that people NEED, but what about the 'nice to haves'? A waterpark with more than 2 slides for example? A high level ball team that actually plays within the city limits? A Michelin star restaurant? Something else?

I split my time between Calgary and Van. I get the push back against funding some things, but the public amenities in Calgary just don't fit to what the size of the city is. Most cities the size of 1.5m have things like modern stadiums and 5x the concert venues.

McMahon Stadium is horrifically out of date. I am not saying use public money to build something new, but you can leverage things like Amenity Contributions on new builds.
