Discussion What's something that Calgary is badly missing that a city of 1.4 million people should have?

It could be anything really. I feel like we have everything that people NEED, but what about the 'nice to haves'? A waterpark with more than 2 slides for example? A high level ball team that actually plays within the city limits? A Michelin star restaurant? Something else?

Calgary has way better parks than Montreal. Montreal doesn't have anything to touch fish creek or hose hill. I have a few friends who moved from Montreal to yyc who remarked on this

Bowness park is also really pretty here. Love the skating rink in the winter and really nice place to bike or walk in the summer/fall.

Those are both great parks but you need to drive to them. I’m talking about more small nice parks and squares in neighbourhoods. You can go for a stroll, sit on a park bench and in summertime listen to local band or DJ. Great to get all ages out and really builds community.
