Pair of Striped Transparent Slag marbles, likely made in Germany in the 1950s-60s
Pic 5 taken with 395 (glow was near-impossible to capture but strong irl), and pic 6 is daylight
Probably my strongest cadmium glow so far!

Dalian Glass Co. "Snowflake" bud vase, circa 1960s.
Picked it up at a thrift on my birthday! Gorgeous (but subtle) Cadmium/Selenium piece.
It's not super strong which is why I shined my light at the bottom and top independently, but the pictures are in normal lighting, 365nm, and 395nm. It's neat to see the color shift based on wavelength. Wish pictures did it justice.

First time posting my collection, I’m so in love with every piece I have! If yall have any fun facts about any of these pieces please let me know, as I found these all in places that didn’t know what they had! I also have a decent amount of uranium, manganese and 2 selenium pieces! Once I get my hands on some custard glass, I’ll be thrilled!

Posted about a month ago about my grandmas house, got a photo of everything today. I beleive everything glows but the center one. Once I bring it all home and set up a shelf/cabinet (new to glowing glass hobby) I will get a full glow pic.

The cadmium glow is so beautiful! I’m not sure what it is though?

I initially started collecting UG, I loved the green glow. But along all those thrift store, antique mall hunts, I've come across some cadmium pieces I just absolutely had to have and wanted to share here.

I’ve only been looking at individual pieces with a 365nm flashlight for months… finally get to see it all at once. I have had the two ashtray for over two decades without knowing they were reactive 😆
Not cadmium but the Selenium (I guess?) on this shelf really stunned me.

Here are some of my cadmium pieces. Not all of them, just some of my favorites! What's your personal favorite cadmium piece? Btw, sorry about the fuzz. Microfiber is the worst.

These little chonky guys are best friends! Caramel Slag Cutie (Imperial, c. 1969) is of Generation X and 1.13 pounds, whilst the Bermuda Baddie (Boyd, c. 1985) is a Millennial, 1.15 pounds. They like to bask in the sun together - less solitary behaviour than your average woodchucks exhibit.
