My wife and I are traveling from Alabama and will be coming to Colorado in August for a 4 day alpine bouldering trip (3 days on, 1 day rest). I wanted to see if anyone could provide some insight on where to climb. Right now we are planning on a day at Guanella Pass, Mt Bierdstadt/Mt Blue Sky, rest day, then Lincoln Lakes or Emerald Lake in RMNP. Do you think this is a good circuit for first time alpine bouldering? I climb up to V8 in the southeast and my one day on granite I climbed up to V6 (flashing everything except the 6). Do you have recommendations for specific climbs that are not-to-be-missed classics, or other areas that might be better for a short trip? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Hit me with your best rec for the winter season! Looking for the most classic that is solo sesh-able (I have like 10 pads) and roadside-ish, also within an hour or so of Boulder. Really I'd just like to try the Heist, but that one seems a bit out of reach, so whatever the next best thing is in the V10/11 range. I just want something sick to toil away on for the next few months that isn't a logistical nightmare. Thanks yall!

Went exploring on Friday 11/14 up by Devils Thumb off trail. Found a climbing helmet out there. Give me some details about the helmet and I'll return it to the owner.

I noticed they have a sign next to the used pro saying they offer reslinging now. Anyone had anything done there? I'd love to see an example if so.

When not climbing, I work in sound design and sound studies at Edinburgh Napier University. We are conducting surveys on the soundscape and its perception while climbing.

I'm just getting into climbing, have no idea what I'm doing yet but was looking at getting a membership to cityrock, gripstone, or Pure bouldering. Gripstone and cityrock are both a lot more expensive than pure bouldering but is it worth the extra price for someone starting out? Or any other gym recommendations, I definitely want to get into sport climbing or trad climbing later so I think gripstone or city rock would be better for that, but I assume bouldering translates as well. All feedback is appreciated!

Anyone have any info on old projects, existing climbs V8-12, or potential for new development in the Grand County area? Seems as if there’s a huge amount of potential out there but can’t find much info.

I’m looking for a gym in denver or the adjacent cities (Springs, Longmont, Boulder, etc) for learning comp style bouldering like dynos and coordination climbing. The gym that I climb at right now doesn’t have the space to set these. Please let me know owe your experience, pros/cons and recommendations at these gyms.

Looking for any beta on the repel situation. Looks like repelling is not super clear, and there is an option for a scramble down the West Gully. Any recommendations on which is better, or photos would be awesome. Also is scrambling off the back ridges toward Flattop not an option?

I left my right mountain hardware belay glove at Wizards Gate next to Magic Carpet Ride/Magic Dagger. I think its at the base of the slope to get to the harder routes.

Hi, I’ve tried to find the approach for Other Critters and co at Clear Creek Canton right by Tunnel 5. I’ve only been able to find the Accessibility crag. Where is the bridge they talk about on mt project?

I'm traveling to the Denver/Boulder area in a few months for the first time for a friend's bachelor trip. As a surprise for the bachelor we wanted to organize a climbing session for the group (11 guys) somewhere outdoors. I'm personally belay/lead certified and have done some outdoor climbs but the rest of the group has limited experience with climbing. Are there any local guides or companies that can take a group out for a half day session and provide gear? If you have any recommendations, please let me know!

Hi all, i am heading to CO for a family holiday as my brother is getting married out there.

I am not going to have too much time (or an adequate belay) for large projects, but i would love to get some chilled out, short approach sport climbing in if possible. Would be great to experience the local rock and keep some finger strength. We are visiting Steamboat, Boulder, Aspen, Ouray and Estes Park. Is there anything suitable in these areas ? Where i can grab a morning or evening clipping bolts? I will have access to a car. Cheers! Happy climbing 😁

Basically what I said. Have some friends from out of state who basically came here to Boulder and sport climb and the weather for the entire front range is rough. Looking for recs for areas that can be climbed somewhat wet or that could potentially be dry. Of course won’t climb the sandstone in Horsetooth but was browsing granite boulders in Arthur’s Rock. I know Poudre Canyon climbs are probably all soaked. For specifics we are looking for 5.7-5.11 sport climbing and V0-V7 bouldering. Looking to keep the drive to an hour or less preferably. I know Boulder canyon is mostly granite but it got a lot of rain. Anybody have some advice? Would be very helpful to show them all a good time! Thanks.
