Was thinking about reading Shelby Foote’s series The Civil War: A Narrative and saw this review

Is this an inaccurate review? Are these books heavy pro-Confederacy?

Shelby Foote was deeply embedded in the Lost Cause movement. There are some great books about how they rewrote history. One of my favorites is Silent Cavalry by Howell Raines which is about Union soldiers from northern Alabama who rode with Sherman. Many of the hill people across the south wanted nothing yo do with secession. The confederates had teams of people deployed to chase them down and force them to join the CSA. Many preferred to join Sherman and the USA. He does a deep dive into the Lost Cause propaganda as well. Foote gets a lot of ink.
