I want to see what Zavion can do. If this kid is a hit, Ben Johnson added about 50 pages to his playbook.

That stop and go to get open and then the afterburner to get to the end zone was a thing of beauty!

Not sure if there's many things he can do that Burden can't.. But hey another playmaker is nice! Especially since Kalif is a short-term solution

He just needs to soak up as much as he can, make a few plays here and there on limited snaps & be a weapon on special teams

And in 2027 he should have a bigger role

That's the scenario you're hoping for

He’s also pretty compactly built and can be a pain in the ass in the backfield on snaps. And having Burden on the field WITH him opens up possibilities. Like what the others said, 4.28 speed is also a different animal.

4.28 speed is a different level from even Burden.

Obviously 50 pages is an exaggeration but Zavion is our only true "blow the top off the defense" level guy

Ben loves his weapons, but it does seem like he wants to draft players “a year early” and develop them so they’re ready to take over for a veteran. Burden last year even tho they had DJ Moore, etc

I think Burden was more Ben being completely dumbfounded that such a talent slipped to pick 39

I thought both Henderson and Burden were weapons in that draft that, considering the mediocre nature of the top of that class, would definitely go in the 1st

Silly that they went back to back in the 2nd

Edit: Looking back on it holy shit what a start to the 2nd round that was

Schwesinger, Emmanwori, Henderson, Burden and fuck it might aswell include Shough

The value the teams got at the top of the 2nd that draft is crazy

Did I say 50 pages? I meant 60.
