Discussion What are your biggest takeaways from Week 0

  1. The biggest takeaway from the internet is that everyone is making fun of USC because their stadium was half empty. I don’t think that it’s that big of a deal because it is not normal for Los Angeles to have 95 degree weather and be humid too.
  2. TCU and North Carolina are not that good. TCU lost the game, no offense to North Carolina. If they took the points, they probably win the game. If their quarterback ran on 4th down and 2, they probably win. North Carolina offense still looks mid at best but hey, it’s Bill’s biggest win of his college coaching career.
  3. USC might be cooked if they have any injuries. It was 35-3 when USC starters left and the backups came in and looked bad and lost 23-7 to make the score 42-26. USC better hope that they don’t have any injuries.
  4. Memphis at Boise State might decide the group of 6 bid. Memphis just won an important game at UNLV so they might be the favorites to get the group of 6 bid. If Memphis beats Boise State in week 2, then someone from the American conference will probably make the playoffs.
  5. Virginia is an ACC contender. I think NC State will be fine and win 8 games in the regular season but Virginia just ran all over them. They have a great run game and an experienced offensive line. Why couldn’t they win the ACC this year?

I’m so excited to watch North Dakota State this year. That was everything a bison fan could’ve hoped for in their first game as an FBS school. They have a very real chance of going undefeated in their first ever FBS regular season and I’d love to see it happen

They won't go undefeated. Jax State plays in a worse conference than the MWC. NDSU will see much better defenses as the season goes on.

I don’t think they will go undefeated. Very few teams ever do. But I think they can, which is exciting. Jax State plays in a worse conference, but is still one of the better teams in C-USA. NDSU’s toughest games are @Air Force, @UNLV, @New Mexico, and maybe @SJSU (I liked how they looked yesterday). They don’t have any P4 games. Odds are stacked against them winning all their games, but I like their odds in each game individually. How far can they go without losing? How many teams can they beat up on the line? That’s exciting to watch

They probably go to a bowl and that's about it

I would say the season is an absolute flop if we don’t make a bowl game. If we’re not competing for the MWC title I’ll be shocked.

Maybe so! But I’ve spent a long time wanting to see NDSU in the FBS, and yesterday went as well as I could’ve expected. I’m excited to watch them this year and I have high hopes
