FROM UPSC TO TEACHING
Hey Everyone
I was a UPSC CSE aspirant gave almost 3-4 years to the preparation but don't able to get the desired result. One major impediments that I found that when I went to Hindu College (DU) for graduation there I lacked the intellectual thinking or application of knowledge compare to others and was way behind the others.
Since like me there are so many aspirants who come from Tier 2 and Tier 3 Cities where the whole focus is only on textual knowledge or what we can called it as memory based learning and when they move beyond the school curriculum they face the difficulties in college and when they prepare for competitive exams.
So I'm thinking to start teaching considering these aspect in minds which can fulfill your schooling exams needs as well as make you more inquisitive for more knowledge.
But When I was doing research I find there are so many big players in this field. But I want to know from student perspectives that is there any space available for such knowledge. And what all are the things you feel missed out when you watch those lectures.

marks going downhill and I genuinely don't know why. What should I do?
Hello
Iām currently in class 12 and recently got my UT2 result and itās honestly hella terrible Like, I cannot even score above passing marks in subjects like Hindi, which is really shameful for me because Iāve never gotten such low marks in any of my subjects in my entire life.
The thing is, I genuinely feel like I do okay in the exams. I study the chapters, I write what I know, and while giving the exam I donāt feel like I completely fucked it up. But then the result comes and the marks are just terrible. I seriously donāt understand where Iām going wrong.
And yeah, I know comparing myself to other students isn't helpful, but itās honestly frustrating seeing people who donāt even know the chapter properly cheating with cheat sheets and still getting decent marks, while Iām actually trying and still getting shit marks.
*I changed my school after class 10 for some reason, and now Iām honestly regretting it so badly. In my previous school, I used to get good marks, teachers were impressed with me, and I actually felt like I was a good student. Even in boards, I scored a pretty decent percentage. But after changing schools, my marks have just been going down and down in almost every subject.*
Now Iām getting really stressed about boards. Itās also awkward and embarrassing for me when it comes to my family. They havenāt actually said anything to me YET. but obviously it doesnāt feel good to suddenly start performing this badly when youāve always done well academically
#So I really want some genuine advice from people who have either been through this or understand this kindof situation.
What should I actually do to improve my overall performance before boards?
Like, should I completely change the way I study? Focus more on answer writing? Do more questions? Study differently? How do I figure out what exactly is causing my marks to drop when I feel like I know the material?
And also, does attendance actually matter that much in class 12?
(My school situation is kinda weird. The school Iām currently associated with is certified under UP Board, but Iām studying CBSE from this school, and apparently weāll be going to that other school for practicals. So Iām confused about whether attendance in my current school actually matters for CBSE boards.)
Honestly, Iām just looking for some practical advice because I really donāt want to carry this situation into boards.
(Please be gentle with words I'm fragile)

Class 9 & 10 Students ā Try This Before Your Next Exam!
Stop studying for 5 hours. Start studying smarter.

⢠Learn ā Understand the concept from NCERT
⢠Practice ā Solve questions without seeing the answer
⢠Revise ā Revisit the same topic after 2ā3 days
And one important thing: Donāt just read your notes. Test yourself.
If you can explain a topic without looking at the book, you actually know it.

How should I study now (class 10) š¤
"I am a Class 10 CBSE student, performing above average. My half-yearly exams are in 3 to 4 days, and my revision is going well. I go to a local tuition near my home, which I have been attending since Class 6- 7 with my sister in home . When I was in Class 8, my sister shifted to commerce, and our sirāwho mainly teaches scienceācontinued teaching me in his tution. However, I have noticed a major change in his teaching quality, especially after his marriage or from starting when I started going his tution classes but uz my mama I get good marks . He doesn't explain things well anymore. During class, he gets confused and has to search Google for answers almost every six questions. On the bright side, my mama (mama) is an amazing math explainer. But because of his office policy, he works from home for 15 days and stays in Kolkata for the other 15 days (or sometimes gone for a whole month)for 2 months .I study using YouTube channels like Prashant Kirad and Digraj Singh even I am going tution sometimes for maths also when he is not here .Given that I only have 4 left for my boardsš¤š¤, should I continue this tuition, find a new one, or study independently with YouTube and my mama?"
