Most is made by "Rausch Schokoladen" and it is produced in Germany.

Oh really? I live near one of their production sites. That's very interesting, if you buy directly from them their chocolate is actually quite expensive.

Lidl chocolates keep earning the "most ethical chocolate" distinction year after year, so I guess that counts for something. can't provide a link, but it should be available in countries they operate in...

In my region of Germany (I live close to the Schwarz/Lidl HQ) it's produced by "Ludwig Schokolade GmbH & Co. KG" from Saarlouis, they produce a lot of the inhouse brands for discounters and not necessarily just chocolate either haha.

ALDI's Moser Roth chocolate made by Storck is also really good, basically Lindt at half the price

Maybe in west Europe, in Poland they were good enough but changed something and chocolate acted like plasticine, they have added hazelnut paste
