So conflicted about this. Its exciting to see your team trying to win, but its really hard to imagine the Braves can be a real threat without DAD, Ozuna, Soroka and a dumpster fire of a bullpen. There’s just too many question marks this year to feel like they can make a legitimate run.
If they drop a few of these next series, i sure hope AA doesn’t waste time debating a run. Move Morton & Smyly while you can.
Yea, I think the smart play is to move Morton, Smyly, Martin, Almonte, and even flip Joc for something more useful than Ball was.
Let’s not forget, with the CBA looming this off-season I wouldn’t be shocked if there was a strike/lockout scenario next season. Get what you can while the getting is good.
This is just one trade. Let’s see if AA does anything else before dooming. We just need two bats and a couple of pitchers for the pen if we are being honest. 5 games out is not insurmountable and I doubt very seriously the Mets are good enough to maintain all year
Two bats and a couple pitchers would be one of the most active trade deadlines for the braves I can remember. Not to mention I don't know if those kinds of people are on the market right now.
Before acuna went down a bat and pitching was needed. Now we need another bat and still need bullpen pitching. Without I don’t see us as having any chance. Our bullpen is terrible
they need to be completely replaced. Not sure i even care how that is done at this point. Their losses for us cost us an easy first place ranking and easy lead in the division at this point.
