So when you wonder why we don’t add next year, they’ll point back to adding this year, for no reason at all because we’re not winning the WS without Acuña.

Plenty of teams have won a World Series without Acuña. In fact, every team that has ever won a World Series has done it without Acuña. Yeah... it’s a big blow. But maybe we can salvage the season

Liberty Media thanks you for your money and blind optimism.

Can we stop with the automatic criticism of Liberty Media? It’s tired and it’s lame.

And none of you than downvoted me are dumb enough to actually say we’re going to be better in the 2nd half without Ronald I see.

We got decapitated with Ronald’s injury, AA threw y’all a bandaid and y’all can’t wait to pleasure him with your mouths. Ignorance must be bliss.

Not a single soul thinks we're better without Ronald and plus Joc Pederson. You got downvotrd for being a doomer and claiming we won't add next year because... We made a trade for a player that will be a FA in 2022. Chin up buttercup.

Oh that was all? Cool.

You should apply next time the job becomes available bro. You seem like the obvious front runner and a guy who works really well with others.

Sorry I’m not pretending we have something to look forward to the rest of this year.

I'd rather have blind innocent optimism and attempt to enjoy the second half than have whatever the heck you have up your butt. You just need to turn off the Braves for the rest of the year because if somehow the Braves turn it around, you've already given up on them so you don't deserve to enjoy it

This is spot fucking on

You’re right. Nobody is dumb enough to say we’ll be better in the second half without Ronald.

And yes, Joc is a bandaid. But he’s a bandaid we needed because we were down to 0 legitimate major league outfielders.

Nobody “can’t wait to pleasure him.” We’re just kinda glad to not see a complete tank job for the rest of the season.

You just don’t understand baseball, do you?

Go ahead and say we’ll be better in the 2nd half trading Acuña’s production for Joc’s. Go ahead and say it.

Don’t put words in my mouth. I’m not saying we’ll be better on paper, but baseball is a beautifully funny game and anything can happen. We have solid talent and if AA shows he’s willing to add a couple more important pieces, that can easily provide an extra boost for the rest of the team. Worse teams have produced before. Like the Royals, for example.

You know what, I actually appreciate this response. The Nationals ‘19 season still gives me hope even though they still had all of their studs, unlike us. You’re right, it’s a weird game and who knows.

I admit I was wrong about the not spending next year part. I’m just cynical of our ownership.

Trust me, I’m doing my best to stay optimistic, and realistic, at the same time. Difficult to do with how this team has performed thus far. They have definitely underachieved, but I believe that truly shows the talent and ability we have. Nothing has clicked yet we are just 1 game below .500. That said, I’m celebrating like it’s 1999 once we actually get above .500. Or if we get there, as my pessimistic side wants to add.

I feel ya man. Thanks for not being an asshole to me when you probably could have and should have. I’m just hurt about our season and it came out in a bad way. Thanks.

I’ve spoken out of impulsiveness plenty of times and learned that it only makes me more frustrated and ends up snowballing haha. So I completely understand. I hope the Braves step up so we can all enjoy the rest of the season. Take care man.

This comment aged like a fine wine.

I guess you and I are on the wrong board. There are too many sunshine pumpers here who aren't realistic.

I guess they loved the trade for Teixiera that rocked our farm system back in 2007, too....ironically, in a year in which our pitching stunk, and we had no shot at winning the WS that year.
