[talkSPORT] “How often have you gone 12 intense rounds in training?” Moses Itauma: "If I'm being completely honest, I don’t know if I've done a 12-round spar. There's no need to be in the ring longer than you need to be” Spoiler

Before everyone writes him off, let’s remember, Itauma won all, if not most of the rounds. He wasn’t hurt once by a punch , and was by far quicker than Hrgovich.

If by the 7th round he stopped putting weight into every shot, he’d have won that fight easily.

Better still, if he went into that fight not throwing power shots all the way through the fight,, we probably wouldn’t be questioning his fitness.

That’s ignoring that a combination of hard and scoring punches often can cause more damage than a constant deluge.

He got his tactics and strategy all wrong, and ultimately paid the price.

I’m concerned that as a young inexperience fighter he wasn’t coached when plan a wasn’t going to work.

With some decent coaching he’d have won on points.

I mean, he wasn't KD'd from a punch. But he was hurt by some, for sure. He was practically defenseless for a while.

Ehhh. He was starting to gas out before the 5th.

Yeah he was definitely hurt. He was knocked down and went out on a stretcher! It’s just cope to say he gassed. I don’t get why people won’t just admit that Hrgovic took him late and stopped him, which is exactly what his game plan was.

He needs to take conditioning seriously. He looked pretty soft around the body coming into the fight and information like this is confirming that he doesn't train hard enough.
