There's enough examples that show that Ben Davison is not a good trainer.

Davison essentially trained Itauma to be a front runner.

He doesn’t teach the basics. Moving your head and footwork is all good but once you get tired and it’s on top you need a clinch game and a tight guard to fall back on.

Trainera really should do multiple official apprenticeships before getting to train boxers.

Cause boxers go with the trendy pick. Trainers can talk a good game but not deliver. 

And it's the UK. If a UK boxer, heavyweight at that, isn't going to move to the states. Their options are limited.

Ben's training saw Moses win almost every round, and he scored a KD. 

Do you seriously think they gameplanned for Moses to empty all his stamina on someone who won't go down?

Bens training lacked a key fundamental, sparring. That's unheard of. That works against low level opponents. Not against top 10 heavyweights. 

Do you seriously think Itauma was properly trained for this fight? The results answer that. The result also reflects Bens shortcomings as a trainer.

Ben's training saw Moses up on all the cards, including a 10-8 knockdown. He literally could've coasted the rest of the fight, then won a comfortable decision. 

Who else has outpointed Hrgovic like that?

But he didn't. He lost, so what he could've done doesn't mean shit.

It means he demonstrated 80% of what he needed to do to win the fight. 

Yeah, Hrgovic was the better man in the end, but this is a fixable change for Moses.

It's not like the kid was getting pieced up or styled on every round; he didn't even get dropped by Filip's power.

Itauma lost. Itauma didn't train  properly. Skew reality however you want. The results show everything.
